My son is an avid skier who swears he is never cold. He hates coats. I always make him wear a coat when skiing bc we live in a snow belt! He complains of how uncomfortable and bulky the coats are. I got him this coat in the gray/orange with white camo and he wore it with no complaints. It is thinner and he wore it yesterday in -5 degrees while skiing with windwhills in the -20s. Thank you for making a coat that he LOVES! And he looks pretty awesome in it too. I got a 14/16 size and my son is 5’ and 85lbs. He is 11 and in 6th grade. He has room to grow but it does not look sloppy big on him.
It’s a nice jacket, I bought especially for my son to ski because It has the right warmth but the bottom stopper of the zíper broke in a month and there is no way to fixe it and the window to return is closed.
My cold intolerant 9 year old wore this jacket over a standard base layer and was warm skiing in 10 degree weather not counting the wind chill. I’m surprised how warm it kept him.
Good quality snow jacket
This is a great coat. My son has worn it for a full year daily at preschool where they spend 4+ hours outside year round in Seattle. It washes up great. It's showing wear after a year because he is very hard on it but still functions great. I just ordered the exact coat one size up.
This Arctix Boys Spruce Insulated Jacket is of good quality. It is waterproof and handled the snow well. The quality was good with some loose threads sticking out of the stitching. Jacket has a slight plastic odor the doesn't go away. I like that the jacket has an inner cuff and an adjustable outer cuff. This works well if the sleeves are too long. The outer cuff can be rolled up will the inner elastic cuff keeps a good seal. The zippered pockets are too small to be functional. They are not able to hold gloves let alone fit a child's hand. Overall this jacket served its purpose and lasted the journey. It's a little expensive but at the time of purchase it was late winter and the selection was limited.
My 9 year old son really likes this jacket. It is lightweight but very warm. I purchased an XL, it fits a little big but good for bulky sweaters.
I don’t have to fight with my kids to put their coats on with this one because they love it so much. True to size - fits great - pockets are a bit shallow - still going to leave a 5 star though
Excelente muy buena calidad.
Size was perfect. Great value for the money. I love the inside sleeve liner. Fit and functionality were great. Kept snow out and kiddo dry.
Great jacket at a great price. Since the kids grow out of their clothes so quickly, i'm glad to buy cheaper jackets that they'll use for only 1-2 seasons. Overall it fits well, looks great, and keeps the kids warm in cold weather. The materials are a bit on the cheaper end, but comparable to other jackets you get from Target/Walmart. The top layer already has some small scratches from wearing the jacket a few times, but not a big deal and i foresee this jacket lasting at least 1, maybe 2 seasons. I would buy that again, since I don't need any high performance materials for my young kids.
This coat was a Christmas gift for my great grandson. It is beautiful made and he says it keeps him warm.
My son likes it very much, and it is good for preventing the cold weather but without weight.
