Experience exceptional air purification with the Honeywell PowerPlus HEPA Air Purifier. This Honeywell air purifier is ENERGY STAR certified for energy efficiency. Included with these home air purifiers is 1 “R” HEPA Filter (replace annually) to capture 99.97%* of microscopic allergens, and 1 “A” Pre-Filter (replace every 3 months) to capture larger particles and reduce odors. Optional Specialty Filters: Enhance purification and indoor air quality with optional Honeywell Enhanced Odor & VOC S Filters, designed to tackle specific household odors from pets, kitchens, smoke, or VOCs from home renovations (sold separately) Disclaimers:* From the air that passes through the filter, 0.3 microns and larger. ** Based on 3rd party independent CADR testing for the smoke CADR value when operated at the highest level. Air circulation depends on many factors, such as room size and configuration. There is no guarantee that all of the air in a room will pass through the filter.
I bought the HPA3100 for $75 including tax. I bought this to remove PM2.5 microparticulate, which irritates my airways. The HPA3100 uses a standard-size HEPA filter that is produced by several manufacturers, and is available from many vendors. The HEPA filter should remove PM2.5. The prefilter is quite coarse, and I think it will stop fluff. I think neither the prefilter nor the HEPA filter will remove VOCs or odors, and that OK with me. I don't intend to utilize any of the specialty filters that you can buy separately and install between the prefilter and the HEPA filter. At its highest setting "turbo", the HPA3100 is about as noisy as a kitchen fume hood running at a low-to-medium setting. At its lowest setting, the HPA3100 is about as noisy as fan. The controls on the HPA3100 are simple and intuitive. The auto-off timer that turns of the HPA3100 after 2, 4, or 8 hours is convenient. Accessing the prefilter and HEPA filter is easy.
Been running nonstop since I bought it and no problems, only have to change the filter every couple on months, very quiet on its low setting, might still be too loud for some people, comparable to a small fan running. No more stuffy nose whenever I'm in my room
I'm overall happy with the air filter, but it's pretty noisy by my standards even on the lowest setting. There's certain places in the house I can't place it because it will annoy me, but I can use other filters in those locations.
These air purifiers are great for removing allergens and dust. They have three speeds for purifying the air. They are very quiet to operate, especially on the lowest speed so they will not interfere with sleeping, TV watching our conversation.
Esta unidad es muy buena y me encanta lo fácil que es de usar. Muy práctica y excelente para mantener el aire fresco en nuestras habitaciones. Los filtros HEPA son económicos y fáciles de cambiar.
I got this because I am a few blocks away from a devastating wildfire so the ash, soot, and dust from 9,000 burned down houses that are from people's lost homes that drift into the homes still standing. So the ashes are both sacred and potentially toxic. I got three of these. I do have to change the filters more often than "normal," but they do keep the air clear. It is not heavy. I recommend the sizes that are easier to move. This is a medium. The noise level is like "white noise." I keep them on almost all the time, and for now, I need to change the pre filter about every two weeks.
It works like s champ and is very quiet!
Works great with added carbon filter. Takes dust and cooking odors out the the room
Works well, very durable.
