I have a large melon. This is one of the few running hats I've found that fits at all, as well as comfortably.I've purchased 2 of these, both the grey color, so I'd have an extra to rotate. I have not had any issues with either smell or shrinkage.On the contrary, my first hat has held it's shape thru many runs and multiple washings.As far as smell.....I sweat like I just jumped in a pool. If anyone's hat was going to smell, it'd be mine. So far, nothing.I have not tried the cooling thing yet. I'm skeptical but it would just be a bonus. The other cooling hats I've tried use ice and once the ice is gone so is the cool.Overall, this hat is perfect really for it's purpose--It blocks the sun on my bald headThe brim and hat retains it's shape, yet the hat is still foldableIt's comfortable, even on a long run.Fits those with big noggins!!Well worth the price

Stay cool in the summer heat! Very lightweight and comfortable hat. Easily adjustable Velcro strap. I use this while mowing lawns and the cooling effect actually works. Sweating or wetting the hat creates a cooling effect that helps regulate body temp out in the heat. Highly recommend.

I first saw Melin hats being advertised on social media and thought, wow a hat that is meant to get wet that would be great in the Texas heat. Then I looked them up and saw I would be spending around $65 for a single hat. Considering I was using $10 Flexfit hats I thought that was too much so I looked on Amazon for similar products and found the Mission brand hat. It was priced less than half of the Melin hats at $25 so I figured I would try it out.My initial thoughts were that I wished the Mission hats did not have branding, but that became a moot point as I learned later. My first hat arrived and the "N" lettering was already coming off. It looked like the letters were lightly glued. I returned it and ordered a new one. The second hat came and the lettering was all attached but I had a feeling they would not last. The hat itself feels a bit flimsy but that is due to the material. The cooling effect with water is so-so, but it is nice to have a hat that is meant to get wet on hot days and I have just drowned it with water when working on the lawn or out in the heat and it works great for that. Overall after about 2 months the lettering started to peel and I ended up just removing it all and cleaning the area with some rubbing alcohol to make the hat logoless.Eventually I found myself using the hat quite often and started to want something more quality, aka the Melin hat I originally saw.I went ahead and ordered the Melin hat (Black A-Game Hydro) which ended up being $67 shipped with tax and their 10% off new customer discount. And I wish I had just got this hat from the get go. The hat is a lot more solid feeling and looks better. Melin's quality seems top notch while it looks like Mission tried to cut some corners.If you were like me and wondering if Melin is worth the extra cost over Mission the short answer is yes.In the pictures the Mission hat is on the left and the Melin hat is on the right.

Purchased earlier this summer and wore for the first time on my 12-day vacation. I like the look and fit of it. Find it to be very comfortable.

I used this on holiday and it really works. I was sceptical but once it has some water on it and you have waved it a few times it really is cold.

I ordered this hat before a summer trip to Moab and I gotta say, it checks all the boxes. Lightweight, blocks the sun from the eyes, comfortable, and most importantly, has the cooling factor. We rented UTV's one day with temps over 100 degrees and I can honestly say I might not have survived had I not been able to dip this hat in melted cooler water and put it on my head continuously. The fabric retained the coolness of the water for longer than a normal hat would, and it kept me from overheating to the point of no return. I have since used this hat many times camping, on float trips, fishing, and paddleboarding. I've even thrown it in the washing machine. It is durable and has come in clutch over and over again.

I bought the exact same hat in gray first. Fits well, cool and breathable, great hat for working outside. Bought the same hat in black because I enjoyed the gray one so much. Fits like a child’s hat. Holding the 2 on top of each other you can clearly tell there are inconsistencies in sizing. I give this 2 stars because I would have given the gray one 4…since only half the products I received are worth anything, I’m giving half the stars I would have given. Past the refund window, so I can’t even return it at this point. Shameful quality control.UPDATE: The company reached out to me and offered a full refund. I am changing my review back to 4 stars for the excellent customer service.

Being a glasses wearer, I always have them on at the pool as well. As a result, I always wear a ball cap when there. I tried this hat out there recently; amazing. I dunked it in the water, wrung it out (super easy) slapped it on my head, and continued to watch my kiddos. I felt much cooler on my head than I typically do with a regular athletic style cap. It won't make you feel ice cold, but it is cooling. I didnt feel the sun beating down or warming my head at all. The fabric is light. This was super helpful for my purposes. The fit is great for me; the adjustable band on the back is quick and easy to use thanks to a little added tab. My daughter has one as well and thinks it's fun and helpful to use for the playground, etc.

汗っかきなので、キャップを利用した後の洗いを気にしていたのですが、これは気軽に水洗い出来るので、重宝してます。また、濡れていても熱が籠ることもなく、被り心地がとても良いです。星4なのは、サイズがちょっと自分にとっては大きいから。ワンサイズで調整できるものの、全体的に大きいものを被ってる感があります。
