We had high hopes for this NA wine. Our first pour look promising but the taste was awful...not even close to a wine, let alone a California Sauvignon Blanc! The taste was sour, like old grape juice with a very poor finish - nothing of the crisp, dry taste that we expect of a California Sauvignon Blanc. Save your money and try another brand...or drink unsweetened grape juice.
I really wanted it to work, since I’m pregnant and just wanted to enjoy a nice glass of wine while having dinner with friends. Unfortunately, it tastes nothing like wine, it’s awful and tastes like vinegar! Just awful!! I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone.
I’m a huge wine lover but also planning to try to conceive soon- so as a part of that I am not drinking alcohol. However I greatly miss having a glass of wine on the weekend and as much as I love seltzer or some watered down juice, they just don’t hit the same. So I began my journey to find a solid non alcoholic wine that could itch that scratch for me (or come close).I tried Fre which is the most common brand you’ll find in stores, and it very much tasted like sweet grape juice, no body or complexity whatsoever. Looking for something better, I stumbled across Surely on Amazon and decided to try a bottle- even though the price tag was a little shocking at first! Now that I had a chance to have several glasses of Surely’s Sauvignon Blanc, here are my honest thoughts as an amateur expert on wine- it definitely is not the same as real wine, and I didn’t expect it to be. Without the alcohol in it, it won’t be exactly the same. However- they’ve developed a non alcoholic wine that comes as close as you possibly could to real wine. The flavor is great- tropical and grassy like a real Sauvignon Blanc. What surprised me the most is that it’s very dry- not sweet at all like the Fre wines I had tried. I love drier wines so this excited me. The mouthfeel and body of real wine isn’t quite there- I feel like the alcohol does a lot to provide that in real wine- but the flavors and general essence of wine and the wine drinking experience are there.I think this is an excellent option for those avoiding alcohol for any reason, who want to have that wine drinking experience. The only thing that would stop me from buying this regularly is the price- $28 is a little steep especially for a non alcoholic wine. So I would get this for special occasions most likely. But this is the most solid non alcoholic wine I have had so far and I’m so glad I found it! I would definitely recommend giving it a try but don’t expect it to be 100% like a real glass of wine.
I’ve tried a lot through my first pregnancy and now this one. I am a knowledgeable wine drinker so I knew it was going to be hard to find one I had just about given up but this one is damn close. It’s of course missing the alcohol taste that wine has but it’s got everything else going on that a legit good Sauvignon blanc has! Def worth it if your a wine lover missing your fix during pregnancy lol
Do not recommend this!!! Way overrated on some sites. Could not tolerate more than one sip. And pretty expensive too.
I have tried other NA wines, and this is by far the best tasting. It is smooth and dry, just as described. I will order again.
I had high hopes of an alternative to wine. Unfortunately the flavor was not good and it was dumped down the drain. Maybe taste would adjust after awhile but wasn’t worth the money to try.
Sour, bitter grape juice. Tried to pair with cheeses and jams but the wine was not good at all. Ended up throwing away the bottle because the taste of it was just not great.
