RoxStar Lures Fishing Lures
These are some of the best looking spinners I have ever owned .. I would suggest getting two sets one to keep admire or whatever. The blades hooks material and workmanship are very good … I have not fished them yet but will soon in the Snake River UT that’s why I only gave them four stars..
Très bon pour truite moucheté !
Love the idea of these “hybrids”. Yet to try them but build quality appears decent. Nice to have double hooks as optional. Looking forward to giving them a go. Ta
Prob one of the best ! Definitely recommend for trout!
I fish all over the west, mostly fly fishing but I also love to throw spinners when the conditions aren't right for fly fishing (or if I'm not having any luck on the fly!). These things really deliver! They have enough weight that you can sling them way out, but then they have this amazing action and can be retrieved fast or slow. I have caught literally hundreds of trout on the first 5 of these I bought last year and I just bought 10 more for this year. The quality of these is very good and they will catch a LOT of fish before needing to be replaced. In fact, the only reason I need more is because I lose them in snags or under rocks in the middle of the of the river! I've fished these in deep slow moving pools on 4 or 5 different rivers in both California and Utah and they really, really work. In fact I can use these as a "searcher" - If I don't get bit within the first few casts, I KNOW there are no fish, or at least none that will bite! I love these.
This is one of my best spinners for trout and bass! They are smooth and spin at slow speeds too. Highly recommended for your tackle. They are a great value.
These catch fish! The 1/8oz is definitely suited for smaller trout, small mouth etc. I have reeled in Salmon, bass, rainbows and browns with every color combo. The hooks are a bit finicky, and require a lil tweak once in a while to “fly right” but it’s worth it and it allows you to tune the ride across faster moving water… if you’re cunning enough to notice.I will be purchasing the 1/4oz as well!
Excellent! Works for lakes and rivers. Great product!
Très bien pour la truite moucheté !
Exactement, ce que je m'attendais. Très belle qualité !
I will write an updated review after I've used them. But first impression is that they feel prettt sturdy, and spin very freely. But the stinger hook that trails the main hook has such a small eye, that it doesn't move freely. It stands to reason that the stinger hook will just end up sitting at whatever funky angle it ends up in once it hits the water. EDIT: I had a chance to use them today. They cast well. A couple of them spin very well, even on a very slow retrieve. A couple of them don't really spin at all. The hook-up rate is the biggest concern I have. Only hooked a fish 1/10 bites. And I'm no novice, by any stretch, so I know how to set a hookMaybe the hooks are too small. But the one fish I did land, i had to really yank on the rod tip to set the hook, and it still popped off the hook before I could get my net or hands on it. Fortunately it landed right next to me. I probably won't buy these again. I saw an ad once that said they're made in u.s.a., but they feel like cheap Chinese made. The stinger hook does indeed get stuck in awkward postions 2/5 casts, and cause it to swim a bit crooked on the retrieve. However, after throwing almost everything in the box without so much as a bite, the roxstar spinner fly was the only bait that got a fish on shore. So I'm on the fence. That hook up rate is pretty bad though. If I were to order more in the future, I hope there is an option to get all black with gold blades. The silver blade with orange fly didn't seem to get any attention at all.
I've been fishing for close to a year now and tried all kinds of spinners, but when I got these they were a GAME CHANGER. I got strikes left and right! So far I have not had an occasion where I did NOT catch anything with these. The quality is excellent, spins rapidly, and just overall has caught me fish!Gonna buy some more of these now - such a great buy!!
I will say I have high hopes that this spinner lure will catch trout. The have very nice looking flys on the end and the spinner it self looks very well built and should produce fish!
