I've been using this new chromebook for over 3 months and I'm really impressed so far. I'm a senior and mostly do my bills and banking online with my chromebook. I no longer use my windows desktop for this because I don't trust the security of windows. My first chromebook had stopped receiving security updates, thus the reason for the upgrade. The battery life is very good, the quick startup is a plus. I have a wireless mouse which works great with my new chromebook. The sign in was seamless and everything from my old chromebook transferred easily via my Google account. Acer makes a great product. My 1st chromebook was also an Acer and it still works great, just is at it's end of life update-wise. If you're looking for a simple, reliable, easy to use laptop computer that won't break the bank and is great for everyday tasks, web browsing, emails, online banking and more, this definitely checks all the boxes. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend this chromebook.
Purchased this computer for my fiancé for Christmas. I gave it to him a little early because Ou concerned that he was not going to like it and I would not be able to return it during the return window. He was happy that he received a gift however, the product was very glitchy. Not only that, but the speakers went out, the first night of him watching movies. He travels for work, and the company that he works for does not pay for them to have entertainment on the television. This laptop was going to be a game changer for him. Since he is going to be able to edit his résumé, as well as watch movies . Can’t watch movies without sound in his case. Besides, the glitching and slow processing in the speakers not working it looks goods. The product does not have backlight for the keyboard. The battery life is amazing. The screen is very average. If you’re watching a movie with someone sitting next to you and you’re in bed you cannot see from the side. Planning to return this product ASAP so that I may get him some thing that actually works properly.
Overall a good Chromebook, especially for the price. Keyboard has a good positive feel and layout. I like having the number pad. The HD 1080 screen is excellent, very sharp. Performance is great, very fast startup and switching between apps. WiFi is strong, it works everywhere in the house as well as outside on the porch. Battery life is very good even when watching videos. The touch screen is fine but since the screen doesn’t fold all the way back into a tablet it’s not something I use very often if at all.The only disappointment is the speakers. They are positioned on the bottom side which is not a problem when using it on a flat hard surface, but this is a laptop and when using it on your lap the speakers get covered by your legs so the sound is muffled. Other than that I’m very happy with this purchase.
merveilleux, pas de micro soft.windows...qui essaient de controler ton ordi!!Facile comme tout.J'adore!
as advertised, excellent, laptop, worth the price
My first Chromebook. Pros: large screen, light, great display, responsive, easy to use, easily incorporated, ten key... Cons: very few inputs, no ethernet port... Does come with a carrying case, nice touch... Would 100% purchase again.
This is five stars relative to the money spent. My first Chromebook. I've owned probably 25 laptops and used to own a computer store in the 90s. No it's not the best screen, but it's good enough, as good as cheap laptops used to have 20 yrs ago. Battery seems to last a good amount of time. Keyboard is ok, speed is so so, sound is passable, it's very easy to use. A functional device for basic internet and other simple tasks. I have trouble with the tiny form factor of smartphones and virtual keyboards, so this larger 15.6" screen and keyboard is great. Probably I would pick a faster processor and more memory next time around. I can't fault anything, for the money. And it feels good to get out from under Microsoft's intrusive scam operating systems that eat up resources, track you and make you subscribe forever, and slow down your computer to a crawl, unless you spring for the best hardware. Ok, so Google tracks you too. Nice value here.
Okay here goes. It's great ! It works! I found out it's easier and cheaper to get Xfinity mobile wifi for $10 a month. The chromebook has exceeded my expectations. Watch TV. Compute.email. research. Type letters.
Very nice laptop good looking to and price right.....
