08-03-2026the filter works great, no issue there, my beef is that they say you can reuse the inner filter giving the impression that you can replace the outer sediment filter, at least that was my impression. Truth is you can't purchase the sediment filter, you have to buy the complete 2 part filter, so what is the point of being able to reuse the inner filter? so instead of buying the $20 sediment you have to purchase the entire $40 filter. They should state that

08-03-2026Had a Friend who is licensed Plumber assist with the installation, and we have no leaks so far (this review is 4 months after install).... Seems that the Inlet and Outlet seals/adapters are the most challenging part of install.... I am VERY satisfied with the result, and functionality of this housing.... Plain string-wound filters work for approx 3 months before needing a change (2 person household, slightly higher than average water usage) .... Filter change-out is simple and takes maybe 10 minutes.... I use Food-grade Silicon spray on the O-rings at installation AND filter change.... You really do not need to monster-grip tighten the housing.... just snug-it and your good. (60 PSI).

08-03-2026Nice unit and was easy to install with the bracket it came with. I would suggest two of these for filtering. 1st stage charcoal and second stage paper or man made material to catch charcoal residue.

08-03-2026Works well, filters are universally found. Only complaint is the gauge doesn’t work. It will not show any reading, no matter which way you push water flow to it, the gauge is practically worthless and rusts easily. Used this on a down stream filter for my water well. Plastic is holding up, as my salt water system is used before the holding tank water is sent through this. Plastic threads are sturdy, better than other brands I’ve tried.
