This is based solely on thoughts upon receipt of product only, I have not yet worn this, but I'll share my initial thoughts for now, and return to update after more actual wear. So, upon receipt (which was a day later than stated, no biggie), 1st thoughts: realize this is not an "official" peacoat but rather an economical alternative version. IMO, the material does not match up to the much thicker, heavier genuine peacoat version. For the huge difference in price, item doesn't seem to be a bad investment, quality of material seems to be okay, the fit is actually better than I expected, as I usually get 3x but had to try & settle for largest offered 2x, which is thankfully fitting as well as hoped for. The coat lenght is perfect, as are the sleeves, and it is roomy enough for layered clothing if needed. I pay attention to reviews and noted the many bad ones about the buttons issue and despite them, because I really wanted a peacoat (for years!), i still ordered this anyway, w/ high hopes but also w/ some degree if paranoia. I received item 2 days ago and yesterday took it to get all 9 buttons reinforced (Additionally asked if they would/could install a hook loop inside for hook hanging since there is not one there, but they weren't to sure about that so I left that alone). I'm not sure about the durability at this point yet, especially the lining. It seems okay, initially, but will have to see after wear. Aside from the button precaution taken which was my choice, I am, for now at least, okay with this purchase. The jury is still out right now, but I don't see a need to return in this purchase's future I think it will work out, at least for the $40 price tag (adding to that, the $20 alteration cost for the button reinforcement spent for my own personal paranoia)

Warm and stylish

Haven't had problems with the buttons as of yet, the material seems good quality and the jacket is decently heavy. The zippers are not the best, but then I hardly use them.

Warm coat, however buttons needs to be re sewn.

Was worried the coat would be folded up and wrinkled when unboxed. Turned out this was the case. Had some big creases and unsightly wrinkles on the front and back. Tried to steam them out. Made several passes over the wrinkles with a steamer but can still see them a bit. Will try several more times with the steamer. I will keep pulling the fabric and pressing down on the material. Maybe I will try an iron. If you're expecting to wear right out of the box, think again. I will try taking it to a dry cleaner if the steamer doesn't work. Lots of hassle and headaches. Would have preferred buying off a rack somewhere but didn't see any that matched what I wanted. The folds and wrinkles and creases are a definite downside of ordering coats on here.

When reviewing, I try to rate all products the same1. Is the product what they advertised?Yes and noIt is in fact a peacoat and everything looks like the pictures advertised except the color. Picture displays a "Hunters/Forest" green which is a deep and dark green but what came was "Olive" green. It's in the green family but olive green doesn't match with everything the same as forest green. So for that i took away 1 star.Pros of the product:It is a very sturdy product. It will definitely keep you warm.Love that it has inside pockets on both sides. That's typically where i like to keep my phone so my pockets aren't bulging and/or i can get to it whether in sitting or standing.ConsAs mentioned already, not the same color as advertised.Fits my body good but a little snug and long around the arms. Couldn't but this over another jacket. Maybe a thinner sweater or button up shirt but definitely not worn as an overcoat.Overall good product, just wish it was in the color i ordered.. I will keep it as i can work with the olive green color.Hope they better advertise the product colors they ship out and hope this review helps someone

Quality made coat that looks great and is a true form fitting slim fit Peacoat which is hard to find! Warm and not too long, highly recommend especially for the price.

I got the black pea coat. It’s a great quality product! The material is great! I’m 6ft 240lbs and I got the size Large. Fits me nice and snug! I have an athletic dad bod, I call it! Haha I’m able to wear a layer or two underneath and fits nicely and a bit snug but I like that. I wouldn’t be able to wear a thick hoodie and layer up underneath without taking away mobility lol I would be like Randy from the movie A Christmas Story, if I did. Anywho, I highly recommend if you’re looking for a greatly priced pea coat with legit quality! 10/10!

Coat appeared to be previously purchased, worn and returned. It appeared dirty and had hair on it. Can not review fit and quality because submitted a return immediately as I did not intend to try on a dirty garment.
