Why did you pick this product vs others?:Having spent a fortune on hair products that never worked I took my chance with this one after watching a video of a woman who claimed that this was the holy grail. I can't believe how good this product is. I have always had thin hair but now it has gotten very sparse too. Every product weighs them down. Not this one!My curls last much longer than with other products and it doesn't look greasy or wet or feel sticky. Very liquid so it is very easy to apply and distrubute. My son tried it and he loves it too.  Extra points 

Absolutely love this product!!! I have been using it for about 25 years & the only problem is that they stopped making it in a larger size. It controls fizz beautifully & helps keep the curl in. I use it every night after I wash my hair , I always go to bed with my hair wet & this way I don't have to do much to it in the morning , just pull it back in clips. I have tried sooooo many different products & nothing works as well as this!

This is the wife who used it.It works really well. I just ended up allergic to it, but I think that’s a me problem. I ended up returning because of the allergy (was very subtly itchy/scalp sore).Anyone who doesn’t have an allergy will like it for styling their curls. Worked well for curls whether air drying or diffusing. The diffusing brought out the best of the effect, and it refreshed well. It would’ve been 5 stars if not for my allergy.

Don't be fooled by the name of this product. It is one of the best strong hold gels out there and is one of my absolute favourites. It applies smoothly, and can be applied after brush styling or brushed through using a styling brush. Once applied, this gel keeps my curls defined in high humidity or even in snowy winter weather. It has become a staple styling product and works well with the AG Fast Food Leave-In and the AG Recoil Curl Activator.

Still my favourite gel I've ever used - really nice, smooth consistency that adds great hold and definition to my curls. Easy to scrunch out, leaving hair soft and shiny with no sticky residue or feeling of buildup. Usually I can just re-activate it with a little water each day to refresh my hair.

I live in a very humid area where it rains all fall and winter. I struggled when I moved to this location to find the right products to hold my curls but not damage my hair. After some experimenting, I found that I like how this holds my curls, especially when it is raining because it leaves a nice casting on your curls. However, my curls have textures that range from course, thick and unruly to soft and bouncy and I find that I need a product that is slightly thicker than that of AG Care Liquid Effects Extra-Firm Styling Lotion.Final thoughts - It is a great product and I do believe that most people with curls will find it useful for their hair. The environment your curls are around does matter, so experiment with your products with different weather or locations.

This product works ok, I purchased because the company no longer makes its hard jel. It isn’t as scalp lifting as hard jel, but good as a second best. It doesn’t leave a lot of flaking or residue in your hair, but does give your hair some body. It has a very light fragrance not offensive. Give it a try.

Sometimes I try to branch out for a cheaper option ... it's always a disaster. I truly cannot recommend this enough. It leaves my hair defined and totally frizz free (as long as I'm careful to avoid the worst of the humidity where I live) when on its own it would be a frizzy disaster.1 bottle lasts me 1.5-2 months. I recommend not using too much - it's not needed. It is often the only thing I use in my hair. If the hair is not manipulated, it dries with a shiny gel cast which is incredibly easy to scrunch out, and leaves your hair looking completely natural with almost no residue!I've never uploaded a photo to a review before, much less a photo of myself, but it felt necessary to show how awesome this stuff is!

this is a very nice gel. It doesn't weigh my hair down or make my hair feel sticky. It does dry with a bit of a cast on my waves, but it crunches right out. Doesn't take much product so it should last a while. I don't notice any strong unpleasant scent with it.

BEST GEL EVER! this is my #1 product for curly hair as the stickiness creates a shell that doesn't let the humidity affect my hair. The smell and hold of this product are amazing, it's easy to apply and curls my hair instantly. I can't say enough amazing things. It's amazing!
