Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
Love the product so much great purchase
Very nice. Like the case that comes with it. First experience with android but no trouble catching on to it. No instructions on how to install the battery but wasn't difficult to figure it out. Screen is bright and easy to read stylus works great too.
I've been looking for something that seems durable, between a "rugged tablet" and a flimsy typical one in the android space. So far, this fits the bill.I'm already in the Samsung ecosystem, so most things are familiar. Do not want to switch to the other side.Battery is replaceable, which is good.Battery life is excellent so far. Although I haven't actually used it for a continuous 8 hours, I think it could do it. It has been on standby with occasional use over several days and more than 50% battery remaining. I have not used a Windows device that even comes close for battery life.It is inconvenient to actually turn off.It has been challenging to find apps that can actually do work, like Microsoft Office type stuff and PDF editing. This seems to be the drawback of trying to do stuff on a mobile android device vs a Windows based laptop or tablet by itself, without wanting to also move stuff from a phone to a tablet. There are many apps, but many are so so or worse. No shortage of apps for content consumption though.Has been mostly legible outside in sunlight. The "rugged" devices with claimed outdoor readable screens are many times the price of this one.The pen is also great.Being able to use familiar apps on a larger screen is a big deal for my purposes. The file structures are almost identical between the phone and tablet.I am finding ways to make it work for my purposes, so far, which is a big help. Hence the 5 stars. Some type of folio case with a keyboard would be nice.
I got the 6GB RAM WiFi only version. It took Amazon a whopping 3 weeks to ship to Alaska - for Prime member! That aside, first impression of tablet were very positive. However, I've now had it for a few weeks, and am less excited about the tablet. Many nice ideas, and nice execution on some, but not so much on others: the tablet is quite heavy. The separate ruggedizing case it comes with is a hard plastic shell. It is very slick and slippery, hard plastic, without rubberizing, texture or ribbing that helps holding the tapered (!) slick shape. Not easy to hold, and in fact I decided to order a different skin (RAM Mounts). The three physical buttons (Home, Back, Menu) are welcome but are black on black and very hard to see or feel. The fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button does not work for me most of the time (even though same type on my XCover 6 Pro works well for me). Maybe because of orientation or proximity to case ridge? The S-pen is way too small to be useful, especially when using gloves! It is too small, short, and the pen button cannot be seen (again black on black), nor felt (no relief). And finally, Bixby is just infuriating and difficult to completely deactivate and can't disable or uninstall all. For a while, I could not even figure out how to turn the tablet off without going through the freaking bixby routines. Overall, Bixby and Samsung UI appear more instrusive and annoying than on XCover, where I was able to deactivate it all. I do like to removable/replaceable battery, idea of S-pen (will probably separately buy a larger, older S-pen), and ruggedness (better with a different skin.
Good seller, good product. Device was heavier than I expected, but that is what I like.I like removable batteries and a headphone jack.
I have a samsung tab s7, s8 ultra and s8 Fe tablets. they are work great for most things, but i needed one that i could use outside all day and have a replaceable battery and a SD card slot. This tablet seams to be as fast as the larger ones, but is lighter and can be seen easily in the sun. Even being on for the entire day, I still get about 10 hours of use out the tablet.I would recomend this tablet
bought this tablet for work, and it’s been absolutely solid. The rugged design is no gimmick — it handles daily use and travel without worry. The screen is responsive even with gloves on, which is a big plus when working in different environments. Setup was fast and smooth, and the LTE connection has been reliable everywhere I’ve needed it.The battery life is impressive, easily lasting through long days without needing a recharge. It’s powerful enough to run multiple apps, handle reports, GPS, and communication without lag. I also appreciate the removable battery — something you don’t see much anymore.I’ve paired it with a cup holder mount in my 2024 Ram 2500, and it fits perfectly as part of my mobile workstation. Whether it’s for navigation, data entry, or entertainment, it performs flawlessly. Highly recommend for anyone needing a tough, dependable tablet for both work and travel.
Disappointing. Overpriced at $600. Accepts SIM card with activated phone number, but it's only good for access to the internet. Unless you create a Samsung Account, phone and text message Apps are blocked. The "Call & text on other devices" feature is required because it allows the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro to use the voice and SMS services from your Galaxy phone (assuming you have a Galaxy phone) when the tablet is connected to the same Samsung Account. Some of us will not create an account with a phone or tablet device manufacturer just to be able to send/receive text messages and phone calls.Apparently, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro does not support voice calling or SMS functionality on its own.
