It drops very slow compared to hoss that have the weight more forward and sometimes that fast drop can be what triggers the strike especially with a shrimp lure so they’re no good for bouncing of the bottom. I’ve always thought the hoss made a paddle just quickly nose dive unnaturally, these give more of a slow decent glide that may not attract as much attention. The price difference is HUGE and seems good enough for a paddle tails
These are really good weighted hooks. They perform well and do the job. The weight on the hook doesn't get tangled in or collect moss as much as a inline, press-on, or other weight's I've used. The 3/0 1/8oz is the perfect size for the locations I fish. The action is fluid and with the preferred worm i use, they counterbalance each other well, and look very natural. Specifically for bass, these exceeded my expectations. The price was hard to beat as well. I will definitely purchase these again. You can't go wrong with these for plastic worm fishing.
These are excellent for the price
Good range of sizes and weights. Will work well with the bodies I
Love these hooks. New favorite hooks in my box! Great price
They work very good and they is so much for the price.
Let me start by saying these are good quality and I'm sure meet the industry standard. The things I didnt like was I bought 1/0 & 2/0 and was not able to tell any difference in size of these hooks. Also as I said I'm sure all of these type of hooks have the same standard as for weight to size comparison but I felt for my needs the weights are very light and if there is any current in the water will not sink very well. But overall I guess they are as advertised but size I'm not sure is correct on these. Hope this helps !
I love the strength on these hooks! i buy them for husband all the time. The swivel on top holds the lure on good! and they don't ruin them.
easy to put on. stays tight. not fished yet so?
They are exactly what I expected. They are strong, sharp, and the right size for the baits i prefer to use. A good price also
I've bought 3 sets of 25 the last few years. The hooks are rock solid. I fish a lot and use these for TONS of different baits and applications. They're well made, stay very sharp, and have great screwlocks. The best part is the price point makes it so it doesn't hurt losing one. Take it from a guy who has put these thru everything in terms of bass fishing, these hooks perform.
Works like a charm, these 1/4 oz weighted hooks were really easy to set up for my non-fishing friends and we ended up catching some really nice fish with the help of these. Didn't even lose a single hook the entire trip
These weighted hooks are excellent. Perfect for 4-5" swimbaits in rivers with current.
