The external 1.44” display gives you a preview of who’s calling and discreetly alerts you of new notifications without opening the phone. Read messages with ease on the 2.8” internal display that can be personalized with large text and increased brightness.
This flip phone is a fantastic choice if you want something straightforward, reliable, and affordable. It has all the essentials without the distractions of a full smartphone. Easy to Use & PracticalThe 1.44” external display shows calls and notifications at a glance, and the larger internal screen is clear and bright (page 1). The keypad is responsive and easy to navigate, making calls and texting simple. Good Features for the PriceIt runs on KaiOS with access to basic apps, supports 4G LTE, and even has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity (page 1). The expandable storage (up to 32GB with microSD) is great for photos and contacts. Solid Battery & Call QualityBattery life is strong enough to last all day on moderate use (page 3). Calls come through loud and clear, and the speaker is good enough for hands-free conversations.✅ Pros:Simple, user-friendly design4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth supportExpandable storage up to 32GBClear call quality and long battery lifeAffordable price❌ Cons:Not compatible with VerizonLimited app selection compared to smartphonesOverall:A great flip phone that balances simplicity with modern essentials. Perfect for minimalists, seniors, or anyone wanting a backup phone without all the extra distractions.
The TCL Go Flip 2 4058G is an excellent flip phone that works great on Verizon's network (via US Mobile's "Warp" service). It supports the critical (for Verizon) 4G LTE Band 13, in addition to bands B2/4/5/12/66/71/25/26/41. Currently a great value, but may soon become scarce with the introduction of the Flip 3, which unfortunately has a more complicated interface - and apparently software issues per the reviews. The Flip 2 UI is uncluttered and responsive, its easy to increase the font size for better visibility, has long battery life (~14 hrs talk or ~18 days standby) and USB-C power input. We wanted a simple way to call and text without needing reading glasses, and were not interested in apps or browsing with this phone. If you prioritize ease of use and battery life over features like apps or camera quality, the Flip 2 is a better choice than the Flip 3 and half the cost!Purchased from eKings.
The details say it is compatible with all carriers; it is not. I just tried to activate it with Verizon, and they are unable to activate it on their network. If you are looking for a phone like this that is compatible with Verizon's network, this isn't your phone!
Product description was inaccurate. Operating system, CPU, and color were not as described. The phone works great. Exactly as promised from manufacturer and reviews. It's a good basic Flip phone. Easy for a vision impaired person to use. Easy, well marked, tactile key pad. Easy one press feature for voice mail and 8 Favorite phone numbers. Good volume control with toggle on side. Good reception from my limited experience, so far. It's a good functional phone, what a flip phone should be. I was really hoping for the "Midnight Blue" instead of the blah "Volcano Black". Phone deserves 5 stars, Product Description deserves 1 star.
The phone came locked.
I am not a "smartphone" user. I hate the anxiety they bring. i used to be a nokia fan. But every flip phone i had from them would white screen on me & static screen on me. i also had their candy bar phones which were my favourite, form factor wise. it really sucks that they are not really usable in the u. S. A. Which is why i had to return them. sadly. also tried cheap off brand ones. which were horrible. But this tcl flip is everything i looked for. A phone should be a phone. Not a television/computer/etc. I can make clear calls & text when i need to. I live in a rural area so thats why i needed wifi. But shoot, even for funsies i can change the ringtones AND notification sounds. this little phone is perfect! It was my last try before giving up on my search for a simple phone & boy am I happy with it! Just wish it had more language options instead of just englisch/spanish/french. The battery in great. Calls are clear HD. Bluetooth is wonderful & fast & it works with mint mobile!
I have used a number of old style flip phones over the years. Have not ever had a "smart" phone. Very happy with the speaker clarity, and basis functions. The price was very reasonable, good value for a 4G, GSM, unlocked phone. Easy to use, nothing fancy. For those who like "just a phone", this fits the bill. I really don't want to carry a tablet around all the time. Small phone size is great. If someone want to call me they can. If I want to call, this does the job.
It worked with my Google fi sim.I wish it had Google Maps, Spotify, Uber, and WhatsApp but that's also the reason I got the thing.I find myself texting people/calling people more. No problems with text/call quality. I did have to disable RCS on old smartphone so that this guy receives all messages. No access to YouTube except the browser which I haven't tried. Browser was good enough for me to look at bus times. Google Maps via browser is not really operable.Email works fine! I even set up a WhatsApp notification to my email for using Macro droid. Battery life lasts seemingly forever.
