Good quality item.. easy to use..
Works well and nice and bright
Works great. Would buy again. Use it every day for taking photos of flies I tie for fly tying Instagram channel. Just buy the dang light!
Hot item, works great.. If you do photography, you really need to have this tool in your bag.
I’m very happy with this purchase, especially considering the price. It’s a well-made device, though the two "antennae" attached to it do look a bit odd. I’m using it with a Nikon Z9, and if it’s not clear, this isn’t a flash or speed light. It’s a constantly-on light source that doesn’t integrate with the camera electronically (cold shoe connection). You simply slide it into the shoe mount and use the wheel to tighten it.The tightening wheel can be a bit tricky to access, but that might be because I have larger-than-average hands. Once mounted, it’s easy to use—just long-press the middle button for 3 seconds to turn it on, and the same to turn it off. You can adjust the brightness across ten levels, although I haven’t needed to use this feature much. It definitely throws enough light for macro photography.I'm using it with the Z9 and the 105mm MC f/2.8 VR S lens, and the 14-inch version of this device works great. I suspect the 10-inch version might be too short to light anything effectively from any angle other than straight on, but I haven’t tested that model. If you don't care about any of that, it's an easy and affordable way to make your camera look like an alien.
Simple design, but does what is needed
Me encantó, súper útil.
They work great indoors or in a forest where is very dark, as they are not very bright even on full power. But I do like them. They are useful when it's dark enough.
For me, the 14" version works very well. The arms are flexible just right and there is enough light for a 2-3" subject.
Works like a charm and quite versatile.
Not the brightest lamps but more than sufficient for macro work and very positionable due to flexible stems. Is only going to light up stuff within a could feet of the camera at best.Battery seems to last well on a single charge.Build quality is a bit cheapish and its not likely to take a lot of abuse, a metal hotshoe would have been a nice option.
Positive :Small and versital, great flexibility to focus the light exactly where I need it.Negative :Battery life is almost non-existant.Battery was good first two photoshoots, but wouldn't hold a charge after that.Work-around :Long USB Cord tethered to power source at home, or battery pack / power source in the field.
The JJC 10-Inch Portable Shoe-Mount LED Macro Arm Light is a handy little tool for close-up photography, especially if you’re on a budget. The first thing you’ll notice is the solid build—it feels sturdy and well-made, not cheap or flimsy. That said, the flexibility is a bit stiff, which limits how precisely you can position the light. I also found that it doesn’t offer quite enough control over brightness or fine adjustments compared to higher-end options. Still, the five brightness levels and clean 5600K output get the job done for most macro setups. For the price, though, it’s good value. If you need an affordable fill light with decent quality and don’t mind a little stiffness in the arm, this is a solid addition to your kit.
