Great
I searched for months to find a reasonably priced laptop with a backlit keyboard and finally found it with this one. I previously ordered a different laptop that claimed to have backlit keyboard and it didn't, so I sent it back. I'm a night owl so I use my laptop at night a lot and specifically wanted a keyboard that's backlit. It's not easy to find unless you're buying a more expensive or gaming type of laptop. I love this one so far! I've had it for about 3 weeks, no issues. I mostly use it for streaming shows and basic use. It's really fast on starting up and has been great for watching videos/shows/movies. I'm so glad I found this one.
Poor performance, graphics card can’t even support low end games. Bad sound. Very disappointed with this laptop. Do not recommend.
I got this one because the Dell Touchscreen that I've had for 5 years, the power plug became loose where you plug it into the laptop. It would not stay in the hole. Would come out. Anyhow, I also wanted a "power" button on top of my laptop where all the other keys are, instead of on the side (like my Dell has it). Upon days of research, I came across the Acer Aspire 5 and compared it to other laptops and decided to get it. It is the best decision I made for myself! The cost was great. Half the price of my Dell. And it's fast! My Dell was slow. Always buffered during movies and tv shows. I do not know the "computer lingo" or jargin to describe the specs on it, but as a lay person who has used computers since the '90's, it loads quickly. And the graphics are clear when you watch a video or a movie. I do a lot of streaming online and have no problems with it. The sound is okay. But I use headphones anyways and it is good. The battery life is fantastic! I can use this for 6 hours on the battery without stressing to plug it in. And someone asked if the keys are backlit, yes, when you tap a key all of them light up while you are typing. The light goes off a second after you finish typing. Which I like because it gets too warm when they stay on. So far so good. I've only had this Acer for a month and hope it lasts a few years!
Price was too high so I returned it unopened and still every thing in original packaging
i love acer
This is my 2nd Acer laptop. It is a quality product. I did not purchase it for gaming but to replace a desktop that would not upgrade to Windows 11.
