Great belay glasses for the cost, they are a little larger than average and the zipper on the case broke after 2 uses; however, still good goggles for the price
For the price, excellent. I use them for changing lightbulbs in in ceiling light fixtures 10 to 12' above the floor. The optics (angle and perspective) were a little screwy with my glasses on, big improvement with glasses off. Clarity fine, with or without regular glasses. The little elastic security strap was cheesy; I discarded it rather than depend on it. Overall, pleased with purchase for around the house. I'd want something more bomb-proof for actual climbing or belaying.
Very big on my face! Have blackout around the lenses so it's hard to see the ground underneath you, but you get used to it. If you've had the smaller ones, there's a learning curve.
The glasses are effective. The peripheral vision is lacking, but directly above is pretty good. We used it to paint the ceiling without having to crane our necks. It works, but we had to be very careful not to get seasick.
Didn’t use for rock climbing, family member had a torn retina so we creatively found a way to be able to watch tv , all while looking face down still for recovery. Don’t know if the doctors love the idea or not .. but he’s doing great now and the clarity for tv shows was great! I tried them out myself! I now turn them upside down and use them for Crochet glasses so my neck doesn’t get a kink! 10/10
I am shocked these are $16, cause they work soooo welland nice prisms are not that cheapneck hurt from working over head? PERFECT solutionthe only downer is, if you wear glasses, it limits your field of versionotherwise, its amazing... highly reocommended
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you’re peering into the future while belaying, these OKCSC belay glasses might be your ticket. They’re so large, you might find yourself wondering if they’re designed to let you keep an eye on the entire climbing wall, not just your climber. The plastic around the edges is like a fortress—great for when you drop them, less so for peripheral vision. They’re heavier than other belay glasses, which means your neck will get a workout just from using them. On the bright side, you'll look like a super-serious climber, even if your vision is more "blind spot" than "eagle eye."
lightweight, work well. they have plastic covering the bottom and sides so it blocks lateral and lower vision more than other glasses although they are more protected if they fall
