08-03-2026Love this fly fishing kit!I am new to fly fishing. Not sure if I would really enjoy it and didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it.This set is well made yet very lightweight. Everything can be closely packed into the included portable case. The cast is very smooth and responsive. It's unbeatable with this price range, totally worth the money.I choose the 9ft 5wt combo because it's a great set for beginners. It can covers about 90% of the fly fishing situations according to multiple sources. Overall a great purchase! Highly recommend!

08-03-2026This rid packs up tight and the reel is smooth and light. It has a soft feel for long languid loops while expanding the cast and lays out line softly. With a gentle recoil and lengthier figure 8s, you probably won't be accomplishing long vigorous throws. But it's a nice rhythm and won't scare off the fish at twilight. A lot of fun and easy to set up and use from even a small kayak...

08-03-2026For a beginner kit, a decent price and a good value for what's in the kit. I bought it for my buddy, who's also a novice. He just started 2 weeks ago but I told him to go in his big back field after watching fly fishing videos on YouTube. That's how I learned. He'll get the hang of it quickly. But you can always buy more flies as well, but I started tying my own flies as well. Enjoy.

08-03-2026Rod tip snapped off an inch or two from the end. Didn’t put any stress on it, just snapped unpacking it out of the carrying case. Had gotten to use it on 2-3 fishing trips before breaking so thus the 3 stars….
