They seem to work but I think they forgot a few ingredients on the box since it says they’re grape flavor but there are no ingredients that would give it a grape flavor so I’m questioning how “natural” they are and that’s the reason for less stars. My youngest definitely swallows some, if not all of it so I don’t like not knowing for sure what’s in it. It does look like “gardenia blue” is a natural dye according to a google search. I wasn’t familiar with that despite being familiar with many natural dyes.
My daughter has ADHD-type behaviors around brushing and flossing her teeth, and often gets distracted and/or forgets to be thorough. I was having her do a nightly teeth check to make sure she hadn't missed spots after brushing and flossing, and she got discouraged by what she felt like was me just criticizing her, and she started to hate brushing her teeth. When she started using the tablets, she could see missed spots for herself. Her oral hygiene has improved, AND she doesn't feel picked on by me about this anymore! She has been using these for a month now, and doing so has made the routine easier for us both. Some tips I want to share for using the tablets is that since she uses them daily, I started breaking each tablet in half and saving it in the package for the next day. Half of a tablet is plenty for her. Also, you have to spit several times after chewing them up to get enough blue out to be able to see the blue plaque spots that are left. The blue will stain fabrics, so be careful to keep tablet crumbs or blue spit in the sink!We will continue using these for her nightly teeth routine until she has mastered cleaning her teeth by herself.
Game changer for my 8 year old boy! It did not stain the sink. We ran water a lot though. I did it too. It didn’t taste too terrible. My kid did gag on the texture. He said though that they were helpful and useful. I got a hug and a thank you even!I cut the pills in half and it was sufficient for both of us for one use.
Great idea to show kids where the cavities are and how to brush teeth.
The best! I had to add a small amount of water to my mouth to get it to swish, but it took me only 20 minutes between brushing and flossing altogether to get every last drop of the stain out of my mouth, including off of my tongue and gum line. It was 90% of the way off within only 10 minutes of brushing though, so I would say it is a really reasonable amount of time for a stain to come out (a tongue brush really helped with quickly removing the tongue stain). It didn't stain the sink with an immediate rinse of the basin. The first 3 photos are with the stain and the last 2 are 20 min later after brushing and flossing it off
We love these for my daughter! They help her see where she is missing with brushing so she can brush better. Her dentist recommended them when she was starting to get a cavity. Her brushing has improved so much.
It’s just blue dye. As soon as you bite it the whole thing turns blue. It doesn’t stick to anything and it turned my fingers blue. It was a pain to wash off of my white sink.
Helpful for showing kids where they missed, they brush right away and it comes off. We only use at night.
