This product comes in a sealed bag. It was easy to cut open but kind of difficult to reclose the zipper closure after you remove your first teaspoon of salt. I ended up putting the entire thing in another zipper bag for storage. It contains Dead Sea Salt, Mediterranean Sea Salt, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. The instruction say to add 1/4 tsp to 1 cup of warm water and swish around your mouth. Since the bag you buy is so small and one full cup of water is a lot to be swishing, I chose to use 1/8 a teaspoon and 1/2 cup of water. This will allow me to get double the usage out of the small bag and still have plenty of water to swish in my mouth. It did feel like a very nice salt water rinse. It is very salty - much saltier then normal rinses I am used to. They say it is optional to rinse it out when you are done. I may end up doing that just so I don't keep tasting salt for a long time.If I use 1/2 cup of water, then I think this is a reasonable product because I get a lot of uses out of it.

Salt has always been a good thing for soothing a sore mouth! I've used it for a gentle rinse after a tooth extraction for cleaning and healing but they always say to use sea salt rather than table salt as table salt is iodized. This particular salt is great because it does not have iodine in it. The crystals are very fine so they dissolved super easily in warm water. The instructions say to dissolve 1/4 tsp in 1 cup warm water, rinse your mouth with it and hold the solution over the irritated area in your mouth for 2-3mins before spitting out. It also says rinsing your mouth afterwards is optional but I always prefer to rinse with fresh water after anyway just cause this solution is extremely salty! But you know it's doing its job! My mom also always had me gargle with salt water as a kid whenever I had a sore throat/infection so I will absolutely be keeping this on hand for that purpose. It comes in a resealable zip bag, makes 90 cups of solution (use a measuring spoon to ensure you don't use too much or too little salt each time) and is made in the USA using dead sea salt, Mediterranean seal salt, aloe vera and Vit E.

Yes, it's dead sea salt. And yes, it also has aloe vera and vitamin E. But this is basically salt. I see/feel/taste no difference between using the Urban ReLeaf Oral Wound Cleansing Salt and regular salt (kosher and sea salt in my case.) This is a small bag of salt for nearly $19. I'd suggest buying a box of kosher salt at the grocery store for a fraction of the price.

Good cleanser. Son used after tooth extraction and helped heel as expected. Need to be persistent though.

Over the years I've come to appreciate the benefits of a good salt oral rinse. Besides being good as a regular maintenance process for a healthy mouth, it can make a massive difference if and when you might be suffering from some sort of an oral infection. Especially helpful for those who can't wait or are unable to go see a dentist. I've had it heal abscesses that were extremely painful. It gets in and washes out the wound and kills bacteria. That then leads to healing. Of course this is not a substitute for seeing a dentist, but that isn't always an option for some in the real world.Basically, this is salt water. Much like the ones I would make in my kitchen with various food grade salts. Personally, I've never liked the taste of salt, so that aspect is not pleasant for me. It's just a necessary means to an end. They do add aloe vera and some vitamin E, both which are also good at getting into those crevices to give you a more thorough cleaning, much like an oil pull for your teeth. I just wish that they added some mint or clove to make this taste a little better. Would also be more refreshing. The bottom line though is that this is an extremely good and helpful mouth rinse to maintain good oral health.

My daughter had her tooth extracted and rinsed her mouth with it after every meal. She’s healing nicely, so this seems to really be helping in the process.
