I've only had my HoverAir X1 drone for a few weeks, and haven't gone through all of its capabilities, but I'm very impressed so far. I've flown it in the following flight modes: Hover, Zoom Out, Orbit, Bird Eye, and Dolly Mode. Every mode worked flawlessly. I'm still learning, and it will take a while before I know everything about it. The app has a built-in tutorial, and I am also watching various YouTube videos to learn more about the drone's operation. I previously had a Snap Pixy drone but recently returned it due to a company recall. The HoverAir X1 has more features than the Pixy and seems to be easier to operate. The videos look good and transfer easily and quickly to my smart phone. I took one video with sound, using my phone as the microphone. The audio is clear, because the app filters out all the motor noise from the drone. The synchronization between audio and video was noticeably off, but I found out from the tutorial in the Hover X1 app that there is third party software that can correct the sync problem. I haven't had a chance to try the software sync fix yet, so I don't know how well that works. Overall, I really like this drone.
The HOVERAir X1 is a fantastic gadget if your primary goal is to capture yourself in motion — like walking, biking, vlogging — without having to micromanage a drone. Its strengths lie in ease of use, portability, and hands-free shooting. However, it’s not a “prosumer” drone. Don’t expect long flight time, advanced controls, or perfect shots in windy or complex environments. If you fly within its limits, it can be a fun and useful tool — especially for social media content.
This Hover Air X1 is seriously awesome! It's everything I wanted and more.Pros:- Portable (Folds right up and fits in the pocket)- Super lightweight- Flying it is super easy. (Even kids can fly)- Pre-programmed flight pathsCons:- Flying time of approx 10 minutes seems less. Having spare charged batteries could help, also just keep in mind, you don't waste any time setting it up. The moment it takes off, it is in action :)- Flying restrictions - cannot fly over water/glass surfaces (and also avoid valleys)- No obstacle avoidance - Make sure you select an appropriate flight path considering your surroundings.- Low-light performance is not so great. But in sufficient light, it is awesome.Flying this drone is surprisingly easy, even kids can operate it. The app is super user-friendly, and there are pre-programmed flight paths that make getting cool shots a breeze. There's even a follow-me mode, which is amazing for capturing those epic adventure videos. The camera quality is no joke either - the HDR really makes the colors pop, and the video stabilization is mind-blowing. Video quality is amazing too!Speaking of amazing, gotta give a shoutout to the seller! Super quick to respond and provides solutions promptly. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is outstanding, I'm impressed with their professionalism. I highly recommend the seller for exceptional service and support.Honestly, I can't recommend the Hover X1 enough. It's the perfect little drone for anyone who wants to capture stunning aerial footage without a ton of hassle. It's portable, easy to fly, and takes incredible videos. Plus, if you run into any issues, the seller seems to be top-notch. If you're on the hunt for a fun and user-friendly drone, this is the one!If you have any doubts, then don't think twice. GO FOR IT!
If your looking to simplify those crazy drone shots you see well om your adventure or just in your backyard this is the drone (flying camera) for you. Complete ease of use. The AI does it all including the ability to handle wind, it's actually quite amazing I highly recommend for simplicity but quality. No stress no big ordeal to get that amazing shot.UPDATE : LISTEN TO THE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT FLY OVER WATER. I RECENTLY TRIED TO GET A OVER OCEAN SHOT ON A TRIP TO CENTRAL AMERICA. IT LOST CONTROL FLEW ABOUT 100FT OUT AND NOSE DIVED INTO THE OCEAN. VERY EXPENSIVE LOSS.
I have multiple DJI drones but nowadays I seldom take it out when travelling due to all the complexities behind regulations and the bulk in the suitcase. The Hover solves these issues. The best drone to have is the one that's always with you and the Hover is so convenient use and carry around. The quality of the videos are surprisingly good as well. The only thing is the battery life is not fantastic and if you're out and about the whole day, I think even 2 batts not going to cut it. Hover, please make spare batteries available to but on Amazon for international shipping. Overall, a fantastic tool for casual use....
Fantastic drone,so easy to use, even in a breeze it's steady, the gimble camera works really well would recommend buying one to anyone who is looking for a camera drone.
Oh, what a lovely little drone this is. I recently took the Hover Air X1 with me on a bicycle tour across Florida (around 800 miles over 3 weeks). Super light weight, compact size makes it an ideal drone for bicycle touring. And the pre-programmed modes are awesome for someone like me who is new to drones and didn't want to climb the learning curve, so to speak.I frequently used "hover", "follow me", "dolly track", and other (pre-programmed) modes to capture content I wanted to share with friends, family, and other bicycle tour enthusiasts. And once I discovered I could also manually control flights using the Hover app, I was thrilled by what I could do with this drone. I also really loved the simple and easy to use "land" mode. I always enjoy just holding my hand under the drone and letting it land on my palm. How cool is that?!As per the specifications, this drone is not suited to situations with high wind or rain as some other (higher priced) drones can do, but for me that was a non-issue as I didn't want to capture content in those conditions. It also is not fast enough to keep pace with a bicycle at speed (e.g. > 10 mph) but, again, I was not expecting it to. What I did was ride slower when taking action shots so that the drone would be able to keep pace (follow me mode), or I would plan the shot to fit within the drone's capabilities (bird's eye mode, hover mode with a drive by, manual mode with the phone affixed via quad lock to the bicycle so I could operate the controls whilst riding). It is a very flexible drone with lots of potential for getting great shots. It is also very robust. The plastic cage surrounding the rotors ensures that crashes (yes, I had a couple) don't damage the rotors, the gimble + camera(s), or the main body of the drone.I also really liked having two batteries so I could fast swap while on the road. The battery life met my expectations but for those seeking longer flights this might not be the best option - I was getting 10-15 mins of flying time in temperatures ranging from 50's to 60's Fahrenheit, and also dependent on the wind conditions.Besides all that, it's just fun to use. Although not recommended by Hover, I often would fly the drone indoors to show-off its merits to people who were curious to see what the drone could do.
I don’t often write reviews, but this is definitely an exception. This drone has to be one of my best purchases in a while. It’s so lightweight and compact that I can easily take it anywhere with me! As someone with no prior drone knowledge, I found it incredibly easy to use, and I love all the different modes. The video quality is absolutely fantastic, and I love how easy it is to transfer footage straight to my phone. This is definitely something I will use often. I didn’t realize how much I needed this until now,it’s perfect for all occasions!
Product Review for Amazon- HoverAir x1 white.I am a new travel blogger and content creator. I am looking for a device that allows me to take drone-like images/videos, hand-free selfies, and fancy cinematic shots without using a DLSR Camera or a powerful lens.I wasn’t sure about owning a drone as it is expensive and requires learning time. So, I opted for HoverAir x1 as my entry-level - flying selfie camera/drone.I have been using it for more than a month. Here is my feedback. What I love about this product:It is small and light. It can fit into the pocket of my yoga pants, the side of my backpack, and even my Chanel handbag. The learning curve is not steep. You can get the concept after a few trials.I like that it has a Storage Management system to keep all the shots I took; it allows me to view them before downloading them to my phone. The Flight Mode fulfills most of my needs as a new travel blogger and digital content creator. There is Hover, which allows the device to hover while I am doing something like tying my shoelace, Zoom Out, which is great for establishing shots and also for group photos, Orbit, Bird’s Eye, Dolly, and more. They are enough to keep me busy and put together an excellent 30-second video on Instagram. What is just ok about this productMicrophone … it is ok. I tried using my microphone … but it didn’t sound great. So I use voice over mic via 3rd party app to edit my footage.Aerial View … I was hoping it could capture more surface, but then I realized it could fly up to 50 feet high.Battery … It needs a recharge after about ten takes when I use the camera for both taking footage and viewing what I took. I could have taken more if I hadn’t viewed the shots I took.Because this camera is light, it doesn’t do so well on windy days. It doesn't have the sensor system like a typical drone, so you can fly this in less crowded places and when the area is clear from cables, branhes, bushes etc. What can be bothersome about this product`1. It is noisy and loud. Not too lound but loud enough when I am out at 5 am to take shots or in a quiet area.Despite my complaints, I’ve gotten used to this flying camera and love it. It is not a perfect drone-like camera, but it is perfect enough for me to get footage to put on social media. It is definitely not for professionals who need a robust drone camera, but it is suitable for beginners as well as DIY digital content creators who do not want to spend a dime on cameras and drones for their social posts.Should you get it? I say yes if you are happy to be a non-professional videographer like I am.
