08-03-2026The jig did what it was designed to do to help get the the screen off of the phone. For my iPhone 12, the sides of the phone is flat and the clamp did not prevent the phone from lifting up as you turn the screw down to lift the suction cup up. I had to resort to putting a block of metal under the screw and precisely located it to catch the edge of the phone to prevent it from lifting. The screw should have rounded nut end to prevent damaging the clamp surface as you tighten the screw down. I used a piece of flat piece of metal under the screw to prevent scratching the clamp finish. Other than that the jig worked as intended. The suction cup worked well to pull the screen off. I appreciate the soft padding and cut out so the camera and back side of the phone is protected when the phone is mounted in the jig.
