Installation was easy and the product features are on point.Fax: I don't use this feature.Printing: The printer was easy to setup and only took a few minutes to get installed and running after unpacking. I absolutely love the ink tanks in the printer. There are no cartridges to buy. There are very affordable refill containers that you use to fill the tanks within the printer. Yeah... so much better. The printer was fast and quiet. The quality is good and I am very pleased.Scanning: There a re a couple of features I really appreciate. I can scan directly to with my email or to one of many cloud services. There is a template creator where I can create multiple custom scan destinations. So nice to choose where I want it to go and eliminate extra steps. The document feeder and scanning is relatively fast.itThe only CON I have is the app used to manage the printer is slow to load. I have a 1GB fiber internet connection and although tolerable... it is a place for improvement. The app is not needed for regular printing, but for scanning and faxing.

Searched for days to find a 5 star printer that would print on both sides of a paper ("duplex"), not require me to use expensive cartridges, look good, FAX, perform well and be easy to set up. This one checks all the boxes! It was a little pricier than the other options but so worth it. Connected wirelessly easily (had a phone connector cord but my computer back has no jack for that so did not use it). Didn't have quality paper on hand to try it out but it printed seamlessly. No paper jam in sight. This will last for years! It arrived quickly & intact due to proper packaging. So happy with this purchase & a set up that took minutes (except for a 12 minute printer head alignment but there's no escaping that if you want great performance). Good job Canon! Farewell Hp & your price increase on the hp ink plan....

This printer is packed well! Pulling the printer out of the box is smooth and easy. Inside is the manual, couple with other items, the cord, the telephone connection and ground wire. The setup is so easy by following the direction on the printer screen. The setup direction was user friendly including the wifi setup. One feature I was very impressed with, while the printer is off. You can send a printing request, it turns itself on and prints the requested info.

This printer is great! No more buying all those small replacement cartridges. Would recommend!

I bought this printer two years ago, use it all the time and still have not had to put in any additional ink. The prints are still as sharp as they were when I bought the machine. Aside from learning how to use the printer, as there aren't really any instructions, I have had zero problems. After I figured out how to scan, it's been really easy. This has been the best printer I have ever owned. The printer pays for itself in the ink I haven't had to buy. The feeder works really well for scanning multiple documents. You can also scan directly into an e-mail. I highly recommend this equipment.

Easy setup, does very nice pictures, not very much colored ink, but at least it's better than a tiny cartridge. Canon colored inks have changed over the years where they yield less and less pictures per cartridge. At one time I bought a very expensive Canon printer and I printed 170 picture on one set of cartridges. Today's cartridges you cannot do that. Everytime I buy a new printer, I get less and less pictures. This new printer will help get more pictures without buying loads of cartridges. The operation of the printer is pretty much straight forward with no surprises or gotchas . I've had no paper jams. The paper tray adjustments are very stiff and difficult to slide back and forth. Kinda frustrating at times. Installing the printer heads was easy. But, opening up the top cover was difficult. No instructions on how to open the print head carrier. You have to wing it and hopefully you don't break something. The print heads are 100 percent replaceable if they go bad . Going on past use of Canon printers. You need to use Canon photo paper for the best results. Using other brands of photo paper the colors might look off.Warning for anyone who buys this printer. The black ink tank doesn't last very long. Canon designed this with relatively small ink tanks.

Easy setup. I'm not a techy guy but this went very well even without wine. Used my laptop rather than my phone so I could read all the directions. Scary how quickly it went without having to enter any passwords to access my wifi or laptop. Ink cartridge install and ink fill went smoothly. Didn't even spill any ink. Filling the reseviours to about 80% left me with at least half a bottle of ink. In hindsight I might not have filled the colour ones so full in case they dry up. Time will tell. Chuckle to myself about all the fax features they go on about, we have cell phones so how do you send/receive a fax?So for the first day, all seems good but will update this review after using this printer more. FYI, we ditched a HP because of ink $$ and it wouldn't stay connected to my pixel 8.Update Aug 29, phone connection to printer sucks as the app wants to know everything but your sphincter size to print. I don't care if they know where the printer is but I can't print unless canon knows my location at all times.☹️
