One of the first soft plastic glide baits, the Berkley PowerBait Nessie opens up glide bait style fishing to entry level anglers while offering new options to experienced fishermen. The soft body design provides a realistic, more fluid swimming motion when compared to traditional hard glide baits. Stabilizing fins and hook clip retention system deliver the proper action and hook positioning, ensuring you've got the Berkley advantage cast after cast. Berkley's exclusive PowerBait formula delivers the technology of taste to soft plastic baits increasing bite retention by 18x, providing the angler time to feel more bites and set more hooks. At Berkley, our science-based development process gives anglers the tools and confidence to catch more fish. Berkley baits are fine-tuned through decades of scientific research at Berkley Labs and then proven on the water to provide anglers with the best solution to help them catch fish in any environment.
Amazing, the pond i’ve been fishing at the bass will hardly ever follow or bite anything other than live blue gill but first cast with this thing they started following it. It sinks pretty slow tho
This is a very good lure. Caught me a 11lb pike!
This bait is the most realistic swim bait I have ever seen. It glides like real shad, and you can play with the retrieve to make it do about 6 different things. The hooks are stout and the color is super realistic. I love it!
Great way to learn how to work a glide bait before buying one of the big $$$ ones, I love the action on this
Service, action has been great
I Love The Berkley Nessie Soft Power Baits. I have bought all of the #5, #7, and the #9s, of which I use the #7 most often. The 7&9 swim perfectly at a slow or fast pace, also by twitching and jerking ETC. The #5 I have to fish with a faster retrieve, with not much movement, reeling them in slowly. I have caught Northern Pike on both the #7&#9, and nothing so far on the #5's. I think, however, they will come into their own come spring.
Very nice lure
First cast I was reeling along the top of the water, when a 40 inch pike hammered it! Sadly he ran under the docks and cut my line.
They got decent action but they brake very easily the eyes come off with in one catch or getting stuck once also the stitching in the middle wears pretty fast. However it does have a good bait imitation an look
Another fantastic lure by Berkley. This swimbait has 2 small, plastic stabilizers on each side that allows the lure to effortlessly glide through the water with natural movement. A key feature is the unique treble hook holder that prevents the hook from dangling and throwing off the natural movement and also helps reduce the chances of snagging something in the water. The lure is slow sinking and works best when tied with a loop knot. From simply casting and slow retrieving to twitching, pause, and retrieve I have never not caught a Largemouth Bass when fishing this lure. The key is trying different presentations to see what works that day when fishing in the same lake/pond. Most bass that I've caught is by fishing it next to lilypads or any cover. This is a must have lure for anyone who loves to fish Largemouth Bass. The lure comes in multiple colors to accomodate different water condtions. Highly recommend this.
Good action, material. Works good I was able to catch a big fish
Great bait, looks amazing in the water. Haven't caught anything on it though. Searching for Mogans.
