I love it as it easily clamps to the side of my mobile desk. might need to buy a few for attaching to various places and just leaving them attached. The only downside of this magsafe holder is that it is a little bit thick for carrying around but it is a marvellous device ...

This was a great purchase! It worked perfect for my samsung galaxy phone (which already had a magnet plate on the back for my car mount). Easy to mount phone, rotate, and remove phone. It can be a little hard to clip it on the plane due to the tension but that probably will get easier with more use. This mount was stable through our entire flight especially during take off and landing. Handing my headphones on it was no issue at all. Keep in mind that this only works if you have a seat in front on you. On our return flight, we were in the first row of economy plus so there was no seat in front of us only the wall. Though I guess I could mount it on the arm rest pull out tray. Just something to keep in mind. I had purchased a similar mount from another company at the same time I bought this one but when they both arrived and I compared them, I didn't like the other company since you have to pull the mouth apart to fit the phone in and that is likely to break over time given phones are huge these days...this mount is a much better solution with the magnet ring. I highly recommend!

I purchased this after seeing a reddit post on r/SteamDeck for someone who had used it for a long-haul flight to mount their Steam Deck to the tray table in the seat in front of them. Having just suffered collectively 36 hours of travel to get halfway around the world with nothing but my weak wrists and strained neck supported only by the flimsy airline tray, I told myself I would never go through that again because modern problems require modern solutions.When I'm not flying (which is honestly not that often anyways), I can use this MagSafe mount to mount my Steam Deck to the back of my office setup underneath my monitor for those days when I'm """"working"""" from home. The included metal ring sticker and the magnets in the mount are strong enough to hold the Steam Deck (almost too strong, but I'd rather it be secure than worry about it dropping my expensive electronics). It even came with a little film that you could stick on your device if you wanted to be able to remove the metal ring sticker later, but I did not use it as I figured it would make the attachment less secure.The other great thing is when you're not using it mounted to a desk, you can still use it as a kickstand of sorts, being able to adjust the angle easily if you're playing tabletop handheld. I had a folding stand that I might not use anymore since this is a lot easier to bring around and has a bit more utility. And it's quickly and easily removable since it's magnetic.The ring and arm fold flat, but a piece of it juts out for the actual mounting piece and the lever thing to open the "jaws" to clamp it to a table side. It's fairly compact, but not very flat. It barely does not fit in the elastic hole cutout of the case, which is unfortunate.The arm is just barely not strong enough to hold my Deck at all angles, which I suppose is understandable since it's really for a phone and the Deck is significantly heavier than your standard mobile phone. I also have an LCD Deck, which is heavier than the OLED model. It won't hold quite at a right angle, but you can still get it to work by adjusting the arm a little higher or lower, so it's possible that it will hold for OLED model owners.. My main concern will be if the "stiffness" of the arm will degrade over time with wear and tear. Time will tell. It was a solid purchase, since I can also use it for my phone or other electronics if I get additional metal ring stickers (this mount includes one ring sticker).
