08-03-2026I bought this because I had 3rd degree burns on approximately 30% of my left hand and wanted to protect the healing skin and then scar from the sun this past summer. This item was nice because I had four gloves I could rotate out and wash between uses. They held up well through my summer adventures including white water rafting and hiking trails that involved a lot of scrambling and climbing. My one negative is that dirt and rust stains did not wash out well, but I got around this by saving the two beige gloves for 'nice' events like cookouts and outdoor festivals and the two pink ones for outdoor adventures where I didn't care about stains. I had a silly tan line at my wrist by the end of summer, by my new scar healed nicely and it was clear from the skin color difference of the unburned skin on my hands that the sun protection factor works very well!
