A direct takedown of the top-selling adult glennaker lake, this lightweight nylon rain jacket is an everyday favorite in the making thanks to its classic mountaineering-inspired style and efficient, comfortable take on protecting you from the wind and wet weather.
We live in the Pacific Northwest with rain 9 months out of the year. I re-buy this same jacket in a bigger size every time my kiddo grows out of it. It is a shell rain jacket, meaning there is no warmth to it intentionally so it’s wearable most of the year. In the spring, it’s great because it’s light enough just to keep you dry with an t-shirt under but in the winter you need to wear a fleece underneath it (which we also get from Columbia and matching rain-pants).That said, he wears this rain jacket the most both with and without layers but then when it’s extremely cold or snowy we have a significantly thicker, puffy style water-resistant jacket. I always purchase it a little bit bigger so he has room to grow and to accommodate layers underneath. It runs a little long, which is amazing because it covers his rain pants quite a bit so doesn’t allow him to get soaked between those layers. We are partial to two piece rain suits now rather than the all in one pieces (we used when he was much younger) because it’s easier for him to quickly go to the restroom when needed by just pulling the pants part down instead of entirely getting out of the top and bottom part of a suit.Measurements are:Weight: 35.5 lbsShoulder to fingertip: 17 inchesBase of neck to lower back: 12 inchesAcross chest and shoulder: 10 inchesThis is an XXS/size 4-5, *which is different/bigger than their toddler size 4*.
This Columbia Glennaker Rain Jacket is a great choice for active boys who need dependable rain protection. It’s lightweight yet durable, making it perfect for school, outdoor play, or family trips. The jacket fits true to size and is easy for kids to move around in without feeling bulky. It also packs down nicely for storage or travel. The waterproof fabric and adjustable hood kept my child dry during heavy rain, and the bright color adds visibility for safety. Overall, a high-quality rain jacket that offers excellent value and comfort
Love the bright green color. Well made. Sleeve cuffs are sninched but not too tight. Hood has a bit extra overhang to form a billed hat effect. Super light weight.
bought this for my son as an outerlayer over his light weight spring fleece. He loves it. I love the bright color (neon green) because it makes him easy to spot.
cute.But,small.
Excellent packable rainjacket. Kept my son dry throughout a rainy week long camping trip without becoming waterlogged or torn. Highly recommended.
Extremely thin!!
Good shell, but we bought a bunch of 4T stuff at once, for a 3 year old. This was the only thing that was snug at the start and the first one of several jackets to get set aside well before 4th birthday while all the other 4T stuff (and a lot of 3T stuff) still fits fine.
Muy bonita y práctica chamarra para las lluvias, llego mucho más rápido de lo esperado
