The product arrived with a massive crack on the LCD. The box looked like it had been handled poorly but not enough to cause that crack. Returned it immediately.UPDATE: the return took a while to process but it was competed successfully. The new one works very well. The only criticism I have is the poor cable management system, which is just a rubber clip that comes loose easily. Also, I bought this monitor for $549, but now it’s up to $999. It’s a good monitor but not worth $999.

The Samsung 34” ViewFinity Monitor has transformed my home office setup, offering not just functionality but also a visually pleasing workspace.**Aesthetics:** The first thing you'll notice about this monitor is its sleek, modern design. It boasts a clean, minimalistic look with thin bezels that make the screen appear larger and more immersive. The monitor's stand is both sturdy and elegant, with a compact footprint that fits nicely into any workspace without overwhelming it. The overall aesthetic is one that elevates the look of your desk setup, making it a statement piece in any office environment.**Display Quality:** The graphics and color reproduction on this ViewFinity monitor are nothing short of brilliant. With its Ultra-WQHD resolution (3440x1440), images are crisp, and text is sharp, which is perfect for those long hours of coding, designing, or reading. The colors are vibrant and true-to-life, thanks to support for HDR10, which makes everything from spreadsheets to movies look spectacular. Whether you're editing photos or just browsing the web, the quality of the display enhances every visual task.**Functionality:** This monitor has completely changed how I approach working from home. The wide aspect ratio provides ample screen real estate, allowing me to multitask with ease; I can have multiple windows open side by side without feeling cramped. The curved screen minimizes eye strain and offers a more natural viewing experience, keeping you focused for longer periods. The built-in features like Eye Saver Mode for reducing blue light emissions are thoughtful additions for those concerned with eye health during extended screen time.**Connectivity and Ergonomics:** Equipped with multiple ports including USB-C, HDMI, and DisplayPort, connectivity is versatile. The height, tilt, and swivel adjustments allow for ergonomic customization, which was a game-changer for my posture, reducing neck strain significantly.**Performance:** For gaming or video content, the monitor performs admirably with a smooth refresh rate, although it's not primarily marketed as a gaming monitor. However, for productivity and creative work, it excels.**Conclusion:** The Samsung 34” ViewFinity Monitor is a significant upgrade for anyone looking to enhance their working-from-home experience with both style and substance. Its brilliant graphics, ergonomic design, and aesthetic appeal have redefined my expectations for what a monitor can offer in terms of daily use. If you’re in the market for a monitor that looks as good as it performs, this Samsung is a stellar choice.

The screen & speakers are fine.I have use it with both a company and personal MacBook Pro at the same time. What I'd like is to be able to pick the "left side" or "right side" laptop with a simple lever or button, and have the monitor obey that selection. I'd like my Logitech (usb wireless) keyboard and mouse to move with that selection. I wish both laptops could connect with Thunderbolt.Unfortunately, I have to connect one laptop with HDMI and the other with usb-c to mini DisplayPort. This prevents me from using a pair of Logitech wireless dongles, one for the left-side, and the other from the right side. It also prevents me from using the monitor's speakers because Apple doesn't support audio over their implementation of DisplayPort (a complaint everyone has had for a decade).Selecting which laptop the monitor should take video from is awkward: you have to use a miniature 5-button menu selection hiding under the middle of the lower edge of the monitor. And there are several selections you must make: 1) Activate the menu, 2) Select "Source", 3) Pick. I'm pretty fast at this by now, maybe 2 seconds. I'd be faster if the Source options to be selected stayed in the same physical position in the selection list, and if the unconnected "Thunderbolt4/USB-C" option were omitted. But I have to actually read the list and find my choice in the ever changing order of Sources. Did I mention that the buttons are very small and the entire 5-button arrangement is less than an inch wide? The most aggravating behavior of the monitor is that it won't even obey the selection I make if a notification arrives on the unused laptop. The arrival of new video causes the monitor selection to automatically jump to the other laptop! So if I'm doing something on the personal laptop and a busy Slack convo is underway on the work laptop, the monitor keeps overriding my "right side" selection to show the novel video that popped up on the "left-side laptop". Sure, I could disable Notifications on both laptops, but I don't want to do that: I'd like to see notifications appear on the respective laptop's screen - which they do, making the monitor's automatic video selection pointless & annoying for me.But overall, using this monitor is far better than moving a thunderbolt cable back and forth between laptops, and it's a really good monitor with speakers that are far better than a MacBook Pro's, even if audiophiles complain. I just want a simple switch that isn't constantly overridden, and a pair of Thunderbolt inputs with specific USB sockets that only work with the "left-side" connection or the "right-side" connection so the keyboard & mouse move with the switch.

I spent weeks looking into different monitors for my Mac Book pro for work and my Mac Book Air for school. I actually bought a different Samsung option originally that was more square, and it didn’t have the best picture. After even more research I figured out that for most Mac’s, it’s best to have a wider screen, especially one this size. The amount of pixels in a Mac screen is a lot more than the other brands of laptops, so in human terms, it needs more space to look good. I am so happy with this monitor! And ended up buying a second one! It easily adjusts to the angles I need it in any a given day. The color is bright and full. Looks amazing when watching my Apple TV shows. I’m able to have multiple windows pulled up at once, as well as all the widgets I’ve filled the screen with. I’ve yet to test out a high performance video game but everything else works great. There’s plenty of screen filter options that would allow for a better looking game no matter what you are playing. I saw some people complaining about the speakers, but I don’t buy a monitor for the speakers, and I don’t have any issue with them when I’m not connected to Bluetooth. Sturdy on the stand, and even better on the dual monitor mount I bought.

Head of IT for a health system - I’m on my screen a lot, live on it. I was doing dual screens and honestly growing headaches. I switched to one curved, large unit and… so much better. great value, you get used to the curve and end up loving the viewing angle, brightness is good but the response time and refresh rate along with the curve are what did it for me - it’s just a great monitor. Plug and play. Wish audio controls passed over the wire to the workstation, otherwise it’s great and since I didn’t buy it for that I’m not grading it on that.
