Nice Material.My daughter loves it
Size just right, durability always recommend a case as extra protection, sound is good
I've bought like 2 of these. Its worth it. Case lasts a while as well and I've had mishaps where I've had to buy replacement because other kids have broke them. Case will fit on any of them so thats a plus. If they get bored and want to trade them. Kid friendly for sure. Screen size is normal. Storage is normal.
Picked this up when 5yo broke her more expensive tab unexpectedly. It definitely works, she watches YouTube kids and plays abc mouse just fine. Battery life drains kinda quick, but it charges quick too. It gets a lil warm when used for a while or on rapid charger, we'll see if this becomes an issue, so far no problem. This tab can definitely entertain your kid.
worth it
I bought these for my two toddlers, so I just needed something for ABC Mouse. They work well enough, but don’t expect too much for the price. Good options for parental controls through Google family.
It’s garbage. As soon as I took it out of the box, it started having issues — it overheated a lot, shut down on its own at different battery levels, and froze even with kids’ programs. Since this product was delivered to me in another country outside the United States, I can’t return it because the shipping cost would be too high. I wasted my money on this purchase, so PLEASE DO NOT BUY IT.
I gave 3 stars for neutrality because I am not sure about this tablet. It works well for the most part. I know some people said it was slow, it wasn't an issue for a child's tablet and really just the set up was a little slower while it was processing which is not surprising or of concern to me. My child is very happy with this aspect. Seemed to be all we needed for basic games and learning apps. However, there are some issues, some of which I am unsure of the source. 1st, not a huge deal but a bit annoying, a decent sized speck of something is in between the device and it's glass screen. It doesn't interfere with the operation or distract much when using it, but I am annoyed that it's there and nothing I can do about it. Not worth the trouble to send back over either. While setting up the device something happened in the middle of making the avatar causing us to be at the homepage without any access to any apps not even kids space. Perhaps it was just loading for the first time, but I think I had to restart the device to continue. Thankfully it saved my prior selections and started where I left off. The real issue I'm having is that in the Kids Space while using the YouTube Kids app there is a video that plays after a while of using it with dominos falling, one with a penguin and a second time with a ball, and 2 color buttons that popped up that my son clicked on and at this point Kids Space changed and limited his access to his content and his avatar disappeared. I had to log out, then log back in by entering my password and reselecting all of my choices for the kids space set up. I can't find anything online about this and don't know the source of the glitch, such as an app I chose or a YouTube kids, kids space, or a device issue itself. There is some mention online about some issues with security through some cheap tablets via the component manufacturers or programming, but cannot verify if this is one of them. Just in case I will be taping over the cameras and setting up an email account specifically for backing my children's accounts with compromising my primary account for extra security, but realistically the fact that not even the most expensive devices are totally safe from attacks especially due to the nature of ads and children's tablet usage behaviors I decided that this is a good idea anyway and am willing to take the chance with this cheap fun device due to the price point. I will try using it without the kids space and see if that changes the user experience.Additional comments:As far as the durability, the case is somewhat plastic feeling rather than silicone, like if it were a blend, and fit's over the device with a tiny bit wiggle room. It does provide protection, but by the feel wouldn't expect it to hold up as well as others I've used, but I haven't had it long enough to confirm. The light is behind the case, but my son really likes this because it glows the color of the case, and still has pretty strong light diffusion. He doesn't mind the small size and likes the extra portability of that, but I think it makes typing more difficult and some games more difficult for a full on educational experience on a tablet device. I would have preferred to buy one larger, and will need to do so for my 10 year old with larger fingers for keyboard activities.I like the location of the charging port, and the device has been keeping a good charge throughout his activities and he charges during dinner which has seemed to be sufficient for the day, but are not using data heavy apps like streaming so far. The speaker is on the back, which makes it simple to quickly dampen the volume when needed, and prevents hands from interfering with the volume. It takes some getting used to for remembering where the buttons are in the dark, because the power button and volume buttons are on two different sides.I love that I get to choose all of the apps, which I said no to downloading all of the teacher approved content during set up and so do not have a lot of extra content on the device. Perhaps this helps with speed and battery life.
