Netting is super sturdy and frame seems so hold up very well. The sliding handle is the only drawback, it seems to get stuck and is hard to open and close
I really like this net. I got the pvc one. It comes in storage bag that you can fold it up and store it when your not using it, which is nice so the net is not catching on everything in my tackle room. The net opens up and closes easy, it's light, and open it's large to scoop up some big fish. The twist handle seems to hold very well and has a measure tape marked out on it. I like the the extendable handle, long enough reaching out from the bank or from the boat, but closed it will be short enough for fishing in the kayak as well. The handle has a good feel and grip to it plus a hook that opens from the handle if you need to reach out and grab the dock or something. I will be using this net for a long time. If you need a net you can't go wrong with this one, I have had several nets, this is the best one yet. I highly recommend it.
First time using a silicone net, WILL NEVER GO BACK!! We all know fish can tangle a hook in a net so badly, with this net even small treble hoods where easy to remove! Super impressed, with the overall functionality and storage ability. collapsed down it fits well in a small storage compartment in the boat. Was able to pull a 28lb blue cat in the net with not issue! have not thrown it in the water to see if it floats :)_
Fantastic folding net! Stores easily, great size, and really great quality. I search for hours when I buy something and I am so glad I got this.
When fully extended, picking up a ~10lb pike, the pole bent, making it difficult to collapse. We manage to get it back (mostly) into place, but a lot less expensive nets have survived much more. Also the hinge at the top really wants to cut that silicone net and you need zip ties to keep it out of the way.
Not big enough for salmon/steelhead….other than that, its a nice space saving net that does well for smaller fish. Seems pretty well constructed for something that collapses, and will get used for smaller species.
The good- Price Point, compact design, easily deployed.I used this net in Canada for the first time this weekend, it is awesome to be able to store your net in a bag in the storage area, and then have it out and ready within 30 seconds, with no hooks snagging, we lifted some pretty big fish with no issue. Not bad but it Could be improved- depth of net, size of hoop.It doesn't need to be a lot bigger, but 6 inches of depth and a few inches on the hoop would make it less stressful when netting a big fish, we had 26" Walleyes in the net and they fit... but it was tight, up in Canada it's not abnormal to catch 28-30" Walleyes, and that would make me sweat with this net.Overall this is an amazing net, durable and convenient! Highly Recommend!
After having this net for a month now, I can offer a comprehensive review.I have the silicone net/ extendable handle version.Really like the zippered carry bag and the fact that the net folds down in a very, very compact footprint. Easy to store in almost all of my boat storage lockers and, being in a sturdy bag, helps keep it from tangling with other items in the boat.Net is very easy to deploy and extend, net loops "snaps" nicely into place when opened and is held very tight. Folding is just as easy. You can vary the extension length easily also from short to VERY long! Easy to reach out and net those bigger fish that just won't give up too easily!I really like the clear silicone net material, much easier to see when the fish is inside the net ready to be lifted vs. the more traditional black netting colors. Also, doesn't seem to spook the fish as much when dipped into the water prior to landing. Being a clear color also aides when detangling a lure with treble hooks but the material does a great job staying tangle free (ish).Overall, a great net from a great company!Order one with confidence!
I was a little apprehensive with getting another net. I already have a pier net which is where I fish most. However, for off pier coastal areas or beach...this net did well day one...the extension did not sacrifice strength or sturdiness. It easily landed a 24" angry redfish from the shore line.
