I've had a tab s6lite for a few years now but it's always been too big for reading manga. It was too heavy to comfortably use it and not so travel friendly for my needs. I've been wanting a good small tablet for a while now, so I finally caved and picked up the a9 and I'm so glad I did.It feels a bit slow when when swiping around, and there's no way to change any display settings on it, but I'm used to the Galaxy S25U so I'll probably never get that fast refresh rate I'm used to.The size is great! It's just small enough to enjoy reading, and big enough to keep me off my phone. It's not heavy at all and is a joy to hold in one hand. It's also bright enough to read outside, although I haven't tested in sunny weather.I've been wanting a android tablet that's the same aspect ratio as a book but also ran android, but those are either too pricy or non existent. The tab a9 is a fantastic price. It looks and feels great. Even though it's a pretty device, I'll sadly still keep it in a case.I've had the tablet for maybe 5 days and ive only had to charge it twice (both times it was at half) and it's only been used for both YouTube and reading, so your mileage may vary.If you use Galaxy earbuds and other Samsung devices, it automatically pairs with any of them as long as you're signed into you're samsung account. All I had to do was open YouTube and play a video and it immediately connected to my earbuds without any hassle.Video playback was fine, I didn't see any issues in quality or visual lag.The case that I'm using was a cheap folio cover case on Amazon, I don't recommend this one specifically. It's very tight and presses on the corners of the screen. If the screen is on and is showing any dark/low light content, you can see a visible brightness if you look closely. It's as if you were to press with some force on the screen and see the lights change. I'm unsure how to describe it well.Just be careful of what cases you buy.To round this long rant off, I'll just say that for my specific needs, this device is a fantastic option for media consumption. And if your looking for a cheap android Ereader, this is probably the best you're gonna get.
Revised review after a couple weeks:This is an excellent vaue tablet. It is perhaps not as capable as an ipad mini, but look at the price difference. I browse the wilds of the internet, read in Google Books, and use Google sheets on it. Battery is good for one day or two evenings. It is more laggy than my phone (S22) with less-good keyboard response, but overall really good value. I put a matte screen cover on mine and a fold-over case and i love it. The size is perfect for non-fatigu-inducing doom scrolling. I have fixed 7 typos while writing this that were due to laziness combined with mediocre keyboard response; for $140 I'm not mad.
Description said "Wall charger combo" but no 15W wall charger was included. I didn't need, it, but inaccurate description guys. International version is fine, just select any country and when you log into your google account it all works as normal. Good tablet, not the fastest, but good enough for daily tasks.
Can't go wrong for the price. Yes the countries listed on mine were South American even though I purchased it in North America. Yes Samsung did all for a phone number. Neither were show stopers for me. As others have mentioned in their reviews, all I had to do was change the location on the weather app and change the units to Fahrenheit. For a little over $100 this tablet is far superior than any other tablet within the same price point. A year ago I regrettably bought a no brand made in China tablet for each of my kids. The specs looked great however after I charged both of them and turn them on they were slower than a turtle trying to cross the road. They were well below the price of this tablet and my wife and I ended up using them allowing our kids to watch their favorite videos in the car on long trips but they were terribly slow to boot up and to perform basic functions. This tablet in contrast is God send! Compared to that tablet this one is a hundred times faster hands down. It really feels like a large Samsung smartphone it's fast easy switch between apps and I love the fact that it is Android-based and as a result all the apps that my kids use to watch their favorite shows are easy to download from Play store. If my wife and I didn't have our surface tablets we would definitely be using the same one that we bought for our kids here.Overall if you're looking for something that won't break the bank and is small enough to hold and watch at a decent resolution your favorite shows or even do lite browsing I totally recommend this tablet.
This works in the US. A Samsung account is required to change the region in the settings AFTER device is fully set up. As long as you read the prompts during set up and aren't bothered by switching C⁰ to F⁰ this is a great tablet.I purchased this for my 4yo to complete homeschool assignments, edit videos (super simple editing for a kid), read music, watch videos and learn coding. I needed access to Google Play store to ensure all the apps we've purchased on a second device were accessible. Her fire tablet didn't have access without installing a bunch of APK files in a specific order. All features are accessible, play store works as expected and I have not run into any limitationS when using the international model in the US.The sound quality is great, colors are vibrant and the size is great to put in a backpack or purse. It's light enough for a kid or those with arthritis, carpal tunnel or other hand mobility differences. The battery life is decent and lasts more than a day with moderate use. It does take a long time to charge up, so we have to be sure to charge up at night.Definitely a great tablet and value. I may have to get a second for myself so I can keep my iPad for work completely separate from personal.Buy it!
Compre el producto basándome en las características y termino siendo in producto más pequeño, adicional que la devolución tenia que pagarla y me salia en 3 mil pesos de mexico a estados unidos.
Muito bom o tablet, porém não vem carregador
Easy enough to set up and when connected to Wi-Fi and we logged it into Google it pretty much set itself to our country. It was originally set up for Panama and south so a minor concern but BINGO got itself sorted out with local internet and connections were solid.
Maravilhoso, pequeno como queria e bonito também.Ótimo compra eu fiz.
