Great assortment of quality baits!
the best!
Let's start with the good. These are quite cheap for what you get and seem well made with a nice steel leader. They should hold up even getting taken by toothy fish. These also look fairly convincing as fake shrimp go, and shrimp or similar species are almost universally liked by both saltwater and freshwater fish. However, these lures are supposed to be good not only for saltwater but also for "Freshwater Aggressive Fish." So, I tried fishing these in freshwater where I have caught pretty aggressive largemouth bass that run up to about 6 pounds. On two separate days, I couldn't get a single solid strike with these lures; only a few times did I get fish to show any interest at all. I don't claim to be an expert at fishing with fake shrimp, but I think the reason for so little activity is that these shrimp just don't have much motion in the water. The thin threads of the "lobster beard" move a bit, but the fairly heavy hook keeps the body pretty rigid, and it just doesn't move in a very convincing way. It also isn't particularly flashy or noisy in the water. I wonder if a spinner on the leader might have helped? Or perhaps bass would like it better if I removed the steel leader? In summary, these are lures that look great but didn't work so well for me thus far. I've been trying a wide variety of artificial lures in freshwater, mostly for largemouth bass. I've found the bass to be quite aggressive striking anything noisy/flashy or moving realistically... but I couldn't get them to attack these. The most response I got was with exaggerated jerky retrievals, almost fishing this as though it was a jig. I imagine these lures might work a lot better for toothy, super-aggressive, freshwater fish like muskies or pike rather than bass.
Fast shipping and the baits looks good, I haven't try them do.
Will be using it for fishing shoreline in the future
Would be better without the leader for my use, but the biggest reason for the rating is for the lack of quality with the hooks.
It was okay. Very cheap material
Awesome!!
