Great item for my home gym
I was skeptical in purchasing this particular bar versus other more popular bars but the kettle adapter/barbell adapter combo for the price was the deciding factor. I am very happy. This bar has really expanded the variety of exercises available with the weights I already have. The quality turned out to be excellent.I use the standard fixed DBs you'd find at a gym, ranging from 5-40LBs. 15LB and above weights hold pretty well without sliding too much. The lighter weights have a thinner handle therefore tend to slide back and forth as you swing the bar.I solved this by placing the foam packaging strip the bar was delivered in, between the DB handle and the clamp. This held the weight in place very well.I'm also using the bar with bands. I run the bands through the bar clamps and do shoulder presses, curls or squats.I wasn't expecting to use the Kettle bell adapter much, however, I found it's easier on the wrist when performing Turkish Get-ups.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product. I wish I had discovered it sooner.
Love this barbell for my dumbbells! Works great my only suggestion would be that you definitely need an attachment for some comfort when doing thrusts, I would suggest an attachment for better support and comfort
Worked until it didn’t, but it didn’t even last 6 months of being used 2 times a weekAlso the weights never sat even unless the bar wasn’t tightened all the way alsoUPDATE the customer service department reached out and offered me a new bar free of charge, thank y’all so much!
I would like to start by saying that this is genius. I have the Bowflex weights and it fits well. All in all, it's easy to use. You place the weights on the floor, and slide the bar underneath. Then you screw on the portion that locks the weight on. This is pretty secure. I've gone up to 45 pounds on either side and didn't feel like anything was going to happen to the bar. What I find a little difficult about this product is that it is difficult to get overhead because the balance is off (since the weights from the barbells are balanced differently than round plates). If I had someone to spot me/assist me, it probably wouldn't be a problem, but it's a struggle to do overhead with heavier weights by myself.
Cool concept. Easy to assemble and feels solid. Unfortunately, I’m using the exact weights pictured with the exact measurements needed and they slide back and forth. Not an issue for most workouts, but for some it makes a huge difference. Using with 30 pound weights on each side.EDIT Removed a couple stars. The grip has gotten worse. This is now extremely dangerous to use.
Pretty easy to use once I realized the inner foam could be removed to accommodate different sizes of dumbbells; that might have been in the instructions, but it was late and I didn't read them. I'm only using this thing for light weights with 10 pounds for each side. I would say that if you don't have a rack you really shouldn't use this item with large weights without a spotter, because it's easy to reach muscle failure if you haven't bench pressed in a while or ever like me. I was getting pretty tired with my weights and could see how this could get dangerous without a rack or a spotter. I plan on buying a rack if I decide to use heavier weights.
I am very please with this product feels very sturdy and my weights fit in them perfectly. Made of steel with a thin cushion pad around the bar. Dumbbells are locked in with a bolt. And the bar itself screws together.
