Mesh WiFi 6 technology ensures you'll have a strong and stable signal throughout your home. With the Hydra 6, you can say goodbye to dead zones and weak connections. The device uses intelligent mesh technology to automatically optimize your network and provide you with the best possible performance.
Setting up the Hydra 6 is quick and easy. Simply download the Linksys App and follow the step-by-step instructions. You'll be up and running in no time. The app allows you to manage your network, monitor internet usage, and control devices from anywhere. With its powerful WiFi coverage, you can blanket your entire home from the garage to the backyard guest house without needing a WiFi extender or WiFi booster.
While I am pleased with the performance of this device, the setup could have been easier. The phone app is not easy to use and kept hanging up on me. Once I finely got the router setup,The web based system functioned well. One thing, the password kept changing on me. I don't know why.Overall I like this unit, just think setup could use some tweaking.
Works well. It's in my basement and so far covers my house (1100sqft). Also goes to backyard deck.
It was a little tricky to set up initially. I was replacing an older Linksys and tried to use the automatic settings to clone my old settings. That didn't really work, but setting up as a new device worked easily. The connection has been really stable and speeds seem great. Would definitely purchase again.
SHORT VERSION: Any company that keeps you on the phone for 4 hours of tech support, can't fix the issue, and still won't honor the warranty isn't a company I want to buy from.LONG VERSION: I have 2 Linksys MR20EC routers bought in Jan. 2025 & July 2025. After about 8 hours of troubleshooting, I determined that the one bought in Jan. was defective - wild swings in internet speed from 500 Mbps to 30 Mbps multiple times per hour. It was also intermittently dropping wi-fi connections with devices farther than 20 feet away. Meanwhile, the router bought in July was working perfectly: consistent speeds and connections stable as far as 35+ feet.I've now spent 4 hours (over 2 separate days) on the phone with Linksys Tech support, and they still won't honor the warranty, despite devices dropping connection while I was on the phone with them... despite the fact that I have the same make and model router that actually does work (for comparison).Their recommendation? Well, I may just need a child node to reach distant locations over 20 feet. That will fix the issue. (Yes, it will because the router is DEFECTIVE!) And I can separate the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels because that "might" be causing the issue. (Funny how that isn't a problem with the router I bought in July!) I was told to "monitor the situation" for a few more days and call back (for the third time) if I still had issues... so we can do MORE troubleshooting.I've had it! I hope this honest review of my experience with their routers and tech support saves someone else the time and money I've wasted with Linksys.I had a Netgear Nighthawk that worked flawlessly for 4 years before it had to be replaced. I won't buy Linksys again.
Linksys is the only brand I ever bought, this is my sixth Linksys router in 25 years . It was very easy to setup and the speed is noticeably faster than the previous router but signal strength and connectivity is terrible, even with a child node the wi-fi continues to disconnect with my devices, considering trying a different brand for the first time.
Without a good manual a little hard to setupWorks great hope it lasts as long as my last Linksys routerHad if for 10.5 years
Was delivered fast and was easy to install. This is the third Linksys router installed an was the easiest. Works well with good signal strength .
Great so far
My old router would cease working once 200mbps would come into the house. My ISP provides super fast, reliable internet. I pay for 500+ mbps. I purchased this Linksys router and it has solved the speed problem. Setup was easy. It took about 45 minutes from unboxing to enjoying high speed internet. Setup was easy. The phone app did all the work. The device os not bulky. It is small and sleek. It has it's place on the top shelf of my shelving. The signal travels all through the two-bedroom house, the back yard, and almost all the way to the carport, which is pretty far away. Newer routers are too expensive for me, but this one was the right price. Excellent value.
