08-03-2026I ordered these socks as a donation to a local non-profit that provides a week of clothing to kids in our local school system (who don't have much). Their goal is to make sure kids aren't embarrassed attending school. It has been a wild success. The items most needed are socks and underwear.This set of 20 pairs of girls socks will be okay when broken up and given to several kids. The coloring and decorations on them are nice. They are lightweight and will match a variety of outfits. They are NOT meant to be athletic socks.However, I have 2 major issues with them:1. The bind-off at the ankle in about 1/3 of them is a flimsy lace that looks like it will tear easily. The remainder of the socks are bound off much better in a rippled-pattern. They ALL need to be converted to the ripples.2. AS USUAL, the US sizing is waaaay off. It's almost impossible to find out what size shoe the girls will need to wear in order to fit in these socks. The ones I ordered are advertised as "Ages 9-14" which is ridiculous since kids are such variable sizes.The best I can figure out, they should fit kids wearing EU shoe sizes 30-36 (please note that KIDS EU shoe sizes utilize the same numbers as ADULT EU sizes but are really not comparable...you must use a KIDS sizing chart. Therefore, the chart on the listing seems to say that the size 9-14 compares to EU kids size 30-36. (Their estimation of the US shoe size is "12.5 to 17." WHAT??)Per a google search for a comparison chart, Kids EU Shoe Sizes 30-36 compare to Kids US Shoe Sizes13-4.5.I sure hope that's right because that's what I wrote on the bag to drop into the donation box.I greatly wish that foreign manufacturers would use the sizing charts for the countries they plan to sell their products in. Purchasing socks shouldn't be this hard.
