08-03-2026These hook removers are the bees knees. They are fantastic for getting the hook out with minimal damage, letting the fish swim away to be caught again. It takes a few seconds to get the hang of it, but once you figure out the mechanics of the thing it is amazing. I need to order more as I have given 3 of my 4 away to people while fishing. These are definitely worth putting in your tackle box.

It feels sturdy in hand, and the included storage tubes help keep things organized in my tackle box.However, one thing to note is that the tool is really only suitable for smaller hooks. The loop at the end is quite narrow, so larger hooks won’t fit through easily. If you’re using tiny hooks, it works great—but for anything bigger, you might have trouble getting it to slide over the hook properly.Still, for finesse or panfish setups, it’s a great little tool to have. Just know its limitations before buying.

08-03-2026I dont know if its user error or what, but we cant seem to get these to work. We have tired so many times on different hook sizes but these just don't seem to be able to grab the hook in the right way in order to remove it from the fish mouth. I think the idea is good and magnet helps hold the hook once its out so it's not getting lost while you try to get the fish back into the water but I havent been able to use it successfully once. The fit into the tackle box great. I keep trying to get it to work but for now I'd say go with a tried and true hook remover over this.
