quality drop shot rig
Works as advertised
Easy to use and catches fish! They stay on the hook. Reduces fish stories of "the big one got away! Lol
So drops hotting is one of my go to techniques, especially as the water gets warmer. The components on this set are good, the hooks are sharp, and the weights are what you would expect. The whole rig consists of 23 inches of line, starting with the swivel, five inches to the spinner/flasher, from there three inches to the first hook, a little over six inches to the second hook and another little over six inches to the end where they tied a knot to keep the weight from coming off. There is no doubt the setup will work in some circumstances, but the line is much heavier than I use for dropshotting. I'm guessing it's 15lb test, and it has way too much memory. The hooks are size is great for wacky worming, but I would go smaller for drop shot. I dropped a star for the bad line, and ultimately I think these will get torn down into the components. Spinners in the trout kit, hooks in the wacky worm kit, and weights in the drop shot kit. Swivels are all use.
They tend to come untied due to the thickness of the line used. Plus the weight end is too short.
Works very well. Happy with it.
