Introducing the ASUS RT-BE88U powered by next-level WiFi7. With wireless speeds of up-to 7200 Mbps, the RT-BE88U boasts a monster 34 Gigabit combined capacity. Its killer combination includes a cutting-edge 10 Gigabit SFP+ next gen connection and up to 9 LAN ports, ensuring seamless hardwiring for all your devices.
I've been using Asus routers for years, and I bought this one with confidence despite some bad reviews.I'm tech-savvy, and I know it was configured properly because it worked for an hour or so before slowing down—then worked fine again.A firmware update didn’t help much. I loved all the features… when they worked. The Wi-Fi range was poor. Even when the signal showed as strong, the speed would drop to almost zero and then randomly recover. Very unstable.I ended up returning it and switching to a completely different brand. What a difference!
Dando velocidades inferiores a distancias medias.
Incredible, user friendly, top notch consumer grade router. Doubled my download/upload. If it had 6ghz band, it would be absolutely perfect.
This router has been amazing! The setup was smooth, and the speed boost was immediately noticeable. We have multiple devices streaming, gaming, and doing schoolwork all at once, and it handles everything without lag. I really like the parental controls and security features they’re easy to use and give great peace of mind. The signal range is strong throughout the house, and the dual 2.5G ports make it even better for future-proofing. Definitely worth it if you want fast, reliable WiFi.
I have been waiting for the BE7200 for some time after seeing an article about it, and it delivers on all fronts. If you have a NAS, gaming PC, PoE cameras and dozens of other devices plugged into Ethernet like I do, this is the device for you. Don't be deceived by the WiFi hype train, Ethernet is always and will always be faster and more reliable for your stationary devices. On the WiFi front, the auto switching between 5 ghz and 2.4 ghz bands works without a hitch and eliminates the need for broadcasting two separate WiFi signals. Has a great suite of features built in like network monitoring tools so I can catch my kids using their devices when they're not supposed to be, easy to set up DDNS, and many others.Others have stated the WiFi is not as fast as some, but I don't really care about that because again if you are using a device fast enough to take advantage of the fastest WiFi speeds you should be using Ethernet.
Amazon Rview: Read through to get to the Asus RT-BE88U....This review will most likely not get posted. I purchased the Netgear RS700S as "refurbished," which generally means that it was returned and some how repaired (or at least double check to make sure it is working per manufacturer specs). It was not. Router would continuously drop signal. So it appears that Amazon just repackaged it and sold it, as is.Router Review:1. Administrator menu is very limited on what you can do.2. When accessing the router's admin menu, it times you out after about 15-20 seconds while your trying to read the documentation for settings. You must re-sign in EVERY SINGLE TIME!3. You can NOT change the admin user name. You must use "admin." Without the ability to change the admin name Netgear reduced your router access security by 50%.4. In order to gain access to the needed security for the router, you MUST pay an annual subscription!!5. Netgear customer service people are rude to you if you turn down the subscription sales pitch, and then reqest to get I.T. support on an issue. They actually hung up on me. At first I thought the over-seas phone line dropped. However, when I called back 2 or 3 times, they would not even answer the phone.CONCLUSION:I returned the RS700S for a full refund and bought an ASUS RT-BE88U router. Everything mentioned above is NOT an issue. Their admin user name can be changes, you have a huge amount of control within the admin menu (including how long you wish the menu to time-out.) NO annual subscription fees. Signals on 2.4, 5, and 6G are very solid. I have 15 devices and not one of them has ever dropped a signal. Also, reboot times are much fast than Netgear's.Great router, security, menu interface, and performance! Customer service wasn't needed because this router just WORKS!!
Only issue is 10Gb spf port doesn’t deliver more than 5-6 Gb speed, when using router as iperf3 server, speed stays around 2.5 Gb, it goes up when used as client to test with the device on the other side using fibre. Not able to use trendmicro protection with dual WAN inload balancing mode is also a personal down for me.overall I am okay with the device.
5GHz radio appears to have died. Worked for 7 months, from April to November 2025. Their tech support has me trying to access menus that don't exist, probably because the radio died. I can only connect on 2.4GHz, and 5GHz is no longer showing up and can't be picked as an option. They sent me to advanced support, who told me to submit a feedback form on the router. Waited a week, and they never contacted me back. Called back and they told me the feedback may have failed. I could barely understand the tech support person because their phone signal is dropping during the call and it sounds like they are talking through a towel. I don't understand how in 2025 a company can't get decent telephone voice quality. I need a working router, and can't afford spending weeks troubleshooting so they grant me an RMA. Have to say I'm very disappointed in this product after having used ASUS products for many years.
The router is very good, very powerful. But has some caveats: If you wanna add some custom IPTABLES rules via SSH, it would clear them without notice, I thought you had to reboot the router to clear them, but one day, they disappeared. also Wireguard connection are not stable enough for my purposes, and also openVPN made the router reboot when activating it.Overall, a good router, but not for advanced configurations.
