Absolutely love this!! You can plug the drain to block food, but water still can go down! Easy to clean, looks nice on stainless steel sink. Has held up for over a year with no issues! Totally worth your money!

This is one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon! It's simple to operate push the button down to hold water in the sink then push down and release and the water drains. It's as attractive as a sink drainer can be way more efficient than the standard ones that come with the sink. If you buy it you will not regret the purchase, I haven't and would buy another if anything happened to this one. I am also buying some for Christmas gifts. I know this will be something someone will enjoy and use. Kudos to whoever designed this!!

Fantastic strainer!! It is the best kitchen sink strainer for my apartment, AMAZING FOR UNITS WITHOUT GARBAGE DISPOSAL. I kept on clogging my drains with other strainers, this one is sized perfectly, making a tight seal that prevents any food from going through. The metal strainer doesn’t rust and it is a sturdy build made of metal, with a beautiful shiny silver color. that wont let anything get past that’s not liquid. It drains quick and is very efficient.My pipes have been much better and I haven’t had a clog finally. Only thing I will drop a star for is sometimes the waste basket is hard to pull out when I need to dispense of food buildup, and it will lift the whole strainer, so just keep in mind this. It is a small issue for great benefits so I am not complaining.

Works Great! It is so much easier and quick to pop the button to drain and push it down to plug. Love how it catches food and can be easily removed to get rid of food bits!Was tired of the old drain plug that had to be put in just the right way to hold the water.

After years of purchasing kitchen sink strainers that consistently underperformed, I have finally found my holy Grail. Super easy to install, works wonderfully, easy to clean out, no tarnishing, super easy to plug/ unplug, and no leaking. I bought it to replace the one strainer that no longer stopped up the drain. Was so impressed and pleased I immediately ordered a second for the other sink. I will continue to order these as needed, although I have no reason to think they won't last a long time. They are well made and work wonderfully, easy to "install" and clean up, and stopping - all without leaking.

Works really well. I tried one of the strainers that was all silicone and fit down inside the drain but it still let small pieces of things like chopped herbs or grains of rice to pass between the strainer and the drain wall. Because I have the slightly larger drain that comes with a disposal, I need a strainer that sits on top of the drain. This works great for that. There is a silicone ring on the underside of the unit that ensures a snug fit in the drain. The silicone "basket" removes for cleaning and does a great job at straining stuff. You don't need a drain cover if you want to fill the sink, you just push down on the middle post and it keeps the water in until you release it. My tip would be to thoroughly wash your sink and drain opening and let it fully dry before you install the stopper, just so it's all clean to start.
