I would have given this product perhaps a five-star review, if it were not for the confusion, not terrific instructions and extra parts that caused my confusion. This was a lot more difficult installing than I had anticipated, because it was tricky getting the part that mounts to the projector aligned just right. As it turns out, it really doesn't matter what angle the extension is that connects with the ceiling plate, and that made things a lot easier once I figured that out.The item was well packed and the first thing that cause confusion was the little instruction fold out that said this was a floor stand? There seems to be some real translation problems between the manufacturers in China and the American customers they are seeking to gain favor with. After inspecting the contents and opening the instruction pamphlet it was clear that this is a ceiling mount for a projector.I was replacing a Peerless ceiling mount, which has frustrated me for more years than I care to admit. The original installers didn't tighten up the tube against the top mounting plate before installing it on the ceiling, and as a result, my old stand was a little wobbly and could never be tightened up to provide a perfectly horizontal image on the screen. That's one area where this new mount really excels. There is a very simple clamp that went loosened with your finger allows you to rotate or adjust the projector to the correct angle to match up perfectly with your screen.Another reason I wanted this mount was because it extends a bit lower than The one it replaced, and My projected image now clears the blades of the ceiling fan in the center of the room which always seemed to get in the way just a little bit. Here's an important tidbit that will save you a lot of frustration. The piece that mounts to the ceiling plate only has threads on one side, but holes on both. I was driving myself crazy trying to attach the ceiling plate to the extension tube before realizing I had it upside down. In fact I was about to send this back for a replacement because I thought it must be missing the correct screws. Instead, there were these packets shown below of extra screws that have absolutely nothing to do with this projector mount and I have no idea why they were included. Just really added to the confusion. They suggest that you attach the ceiling plate with the included screws shown below, but I really don't recommend that. Projectors are heavy and I don't think these screws would be very safe in a drywall ceiling. Instead I drilled out a couple of the holes on the mounting plate just a bit larger so I could reuse the heavy lag bolts that goes straight into one of the ceiling joists. I know now that it is very secure and will never come down even during an earthquake unless of the rest of the ceiling comes with it.The quality of the mount is good and it seems like a very good value for what it provides. I also liked that there was a cutout in the extension so that I could place the mounting plate over the hole in the ceiling where the wires are coming out and run them through that for a cleaner look.Once I had the projector of mounted and reconnected, I fired it up and was able to attain perfect alignment with my screen. The name of the company has nothing to do with Tesla so I'm not sure why they've got something that looks like the Tesla logo on their instruction pamphlet, but there you go.Anyway, works well, but the extra hardware included really through me for a loop.
This thing is tough. The whole thing is metal and once tensioned it does not budge. The body lines are very sleek and it can fit in easily in any modern environment. It was very easy to install and the variable hole locations made it easy to adapt it to my projectors mounting points. It works perfectly and it is much easier to adjust the angle of than my previous mount.
A really nice mounting system for our garage projector. Very sturdy and works well. No concerns about it failing
This projector ceiling mount is well-designed and heavy-duty. I ordered this to replace my existing mount. My mount was projector-specific. I am in the process of upgrading my projector to a 4K model from a different manufacturer, which required me to change out my existing mount. After assembling this mount, I am extremely impressed. I like just about everything about this mount. It is height adjustable and should work with a huge number of projector models.I did find the included directions confusing and inadequate. I was a bit frustrated initially. The best thing to do is to closely study the pictures on the website and zoom in on specific sections of the mount. Once I spent some time reviewing the pictures, the assembly was straightforward and obvious. This is a quality mount that will last for years and looks good. It is worth the price and a good investment for your ceiling-mounted projector.
I installed this in my home office to host video calls and slide shows. The extendable arms fit my projector perfectly, and once it was tightened down, I didn’t have to fuss with it again. Having it out of the way on the ceiling cleared my desk and gave me room to move during demos.
I got this stand to mount my Benq w1070 project to my living room ceiling. This mount was very easy to use and to attach to my projector. I like that the stand is super adjustable and moves in many different direction to help get my projector aligned very well with my screen. I also like that it has 4 mounting positions in which I only use 3. I also like that it has vertical up and down adjustment which helps get my projector into the correct angle. The mount was easy to screw into my ceiling and feels very strong and stable. The mount looks very nice and professional in my living room and isn't an eye sore. It was also nice that this mount came with all the screws needed to get this installed.
Easy to put together. Solid construction. Works great for the golf simulator that I am building.
it fit my Epson 5040UB projector. looks professional. Looks good on white ceiling.I used 2 14 x 2 1/2 size screws to mount it on a ceiling stud usind a stud finder. Note the position of the mount as it is perfecltly aligned with the projector's weight.
