Price was right, it's an affordable bench and it does adjust. But at fully flat, there appears to be no structural support at beneath upper back which is where all the weight is located during a bench press. The ones at any regular gym have a support that the bench rests on at full flat. Feels highly unsafe without this support. I got rid of mine because it felt like it was going to kill me at any moment during a bench press. However, fine for seated overhead press or maybe VERY light home exercise.
Great quality and well built. The pad is quite comfortable and seems durable. I use it daily and my family like to use it for quick sitting because I put it near my hallway.
I am 6'2" and this bench is more than long enough for me to be comfortable and do my workout.Assembled and laying flat it is 49.25 inches from end to end.The seat is 14" x 12.5" and the back is 33.5" x 10.5".It has numerous settings for the angle on the backrest and is very sturdy.I'm very happy with this bench and highly recommend it.The mat under the bench in the photo is 6'6" for perspective.
So, after reading a lot of reviews with about, I would say, 40/50 split negative/positive, I was reluctant to buy this bench. However, due to the limited choices due to the virus and my budget, since I spent a lot of money trying to built my garage gym... I did order it. So here is my review:*Super easy to put together with detailed instructions that specify even the number of the bolt you need. You will need a wrench to tight the bolts properly as it only comes with an Alan wrench. My 5 year old can provably do this... seriously stupid easy.Very lightweight, easy to move. So far very solid. I done chest, and shoulders, so I tried all the angles posible and the bench handle well, no shaking or anything. The decline angle for me is great in fact I use a deeper angle at the gym (Some reviews were complaining of being to steep).Any way, very happy with the bench with value vs. cost.It has been a while since I got it and many workouts later, I am still liking it and had no issues with it.
El banco no se siente debil ni poco estable cuando se usa mucho peso. Los unicos detalles son que es incomoda la posicion declinada.
It's a nice bench, comes fully assembled, and storing it is easy. My one concern is that it's a little wobbly. It doesn't necessarily feel unsturdy while laying on it, but if you were to try and stand on it, it might be a little sketchy. Adjusting the angle of the back and seat is extremely easy. For this price, it's a good bench and allows me to do my workouts.
Pre-assembled.. dont need anything more than this
Will do the job! Super hard to put together, things fit very loosely together causing the bench to be wobbly and multiple pieces were mis labeled. Instead of having screws 13 and screws 14 there were two sets of 13, piece 18 was labeled piece 28 etc, overall seems like a decent bench but difficult to put together!
It's solid and works great.
It's worth the price
I've been using the CAP Barbell Adjustable Utility Bench for a few months now, and I couldn't be more pleased! It’s sturdy, easy to adjust, and versatile enough to handle everything from flat bench presses to incline/decline exercises. The build quality is exceptional—no wobbling or squeaking, even when lifting heavier weights. The adjustable settings make it a perfect fit for various workouts, whether you're a beginner or an experienced lifter. It’s compact enough to fit in smaller spaces, yet robust enough to feel like you're in a professional gym. The padding is comfortable but firm, giving great support during intense sessions. If you’re looking for a reliable, multi-functional weight bench for your home gym, this is the one to get! Highly recommended!
For the low cost it's a solid bench. Don't expect it to be plush but it is not uncomfortable. I've also experienced the screws becoming loose with continuous use. I've rectified the issue by using thread locker on the screws for the seat and back rest. No buyers regret.
Looks great and pretty simple to install. We did have an issue with the foam support cushions seemingly don't fit the bar but with some pressure applied got them to stay on. Paired these with the cap dumbbells and weight holder set. Looks great
