08-03-2026Haven’t had a chance to test it yet but my initial impressions are good. The reel feels better built and smoother than I would have expected and the rod feels decent for a telescopic one. It’s pretty well compact and the terminal tackle kit has a lot of what you might use for everyday fishing.My criticism comes with the line provided. The listing shows 15# line, however the line provided is 2#. The reel itself claims to be rated for 8 to 30# test. It doesn’t match the line provided. 2# is better suited to an ultralight rod and reel which explains why another reviewer keeps having their line snap. The rod doesn’t have an action rating, but seems adequate for panfish to some larger bass and some small to medium catfish. I think I’ll buy some 8# mono and string it up with that. The guide guard provided is a nice touch and not something I’ve seen before. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase.

08-03-2026My wife and I traveled to my in-laws for a week. This town has a nice little lake in their park. I thought it would be fun to fish, however I didn't bring my gear along. I read the reviews on this rod and reel, and decided to order. I was not disappointed! The rods telescoping feature makes it amazingly portable. It comes with a decent little kit to get you started. After ordering a few more lures, I tried it out. It performed wonderfully for the money. Based on another review, I also ordered 8# test. I received the kit with 2# test, but wanted a little stronger line. All-in-all, highly recommend. A very good value for the money.

08-03-2026Husband loves it. Compact enough to use as a nice bass pole to carry everything conveniently. The extras were a plus. We upgraded the line that came with it because we wanted a stronger line. The rod and real fictions great nice smooth casting. The first time he used it he caught a couple good sized fish and the pole didn’t struggle with them at all.
