Mounted this on my tractor so it will be stored outside. Seems a decent quality but I’ll have to remove the carrying handle and silicone it up around the rivets since it will be outside a lot. Overall I’m happy with it.
Good size box for storing some photos and negatives from my grandpa. The lock is pretty good as well. Well made
Nice tool box. I didn't want a tray like so many others have. Only problem is I got a nice looking padlock, but no key for it.
Nice box overall. sadly the lock loop is small. You need a diary sized lock for it. it holds everything i need it to. it's pretty durable.
Very nice light duty basic storage box. More room and built much more solidly than the standard size thin walled metal lunch box I was using for small odds & ends but not quite as big as a 16" standard metal tool box. It comes with a handle that you install yourself however the included small screwdriver is actually too small for the handle screws. The plastic tabs of the handle itself are really the only negative that I can find with this box as they may eventually break. If it ever does break the lid itself is strong enough to install another all metal handle. Just don't count on putting a lot of weight in the box and it should last a very long time. The box itself is folded and welded very well with the lid fitting perfectly. The spring loaded catch really helps to keep it closed so once latched I won't be dropping everything out when I don't put a lock or clip on the latch. The finish was actually done fairly well however I don't concern myself with the paint job of a tool or storage box that will actually get used anyway. If you are looking for a light duty box and a standard 16" tool box just seems overkill for what you need and you want it to last and be much stronger than a cheap plastic box you can't go wrong with this one. Just keep in mind it does not have a tray. I probably end up ordering several more as I am sitting here envisioning many more items that this size metal box would be a perfect fit for.
This is well built and sturdy.
So I bought this to make a roadside kit that fits in the regular battery tray for my truck. I had to modify the tray but I LOVE THIS TOOL BOX. It's lightweight yet still stout enough for my roadside kit. The box is big enough it has a socket set, bottle jack, flashlight, adjustable wrench, fuses, zip ties and 16 ft jumper cables. Bottom line, this box is great for my need.
So we decided to start our own tradition last christmas and we got these wooden boxes, painted them, etc. Fast forward to this year and they were warped and looked pretty bad. So I figured we get a metal box this time and sticker bomb it. I have never been big into using a holiday as an excuse for some special treatment and coupled with the fact that the holidays tend to be bad memories for both my husband and I, I thought it was important to start this new tradition. Essentially we only get stuff for eachother that can fit in the box. Its minimized unnecessary spending and stuff to sit around the house. This box is made very well. It's held up nicely and it's a thick metal. I absolutely love the latch that comes with it since it holds it securely. When I say I have it stuffed already and it's doing great is an understatement, the space is exceptional and exactly what I was looking for, even if it's an odd ball use. I may be using it differently but I think if used for its purpose it'd do great so I definitely recommend. And maybe I shared other ideas with my review. :)
