These are easy to use but I wish there was an extra bar to have multiple weights at one time. Some of the workouts I do require a heavy weigh and a medium weight for the full workout and I can't do that without changing them mid workout. The screws are great and they stay together without coming loose and I like the multiple weight choices.

If you are interested in beginning a (very light) weight lifting journey, this set of barbells is just what's needed to get on track. Since it's cold outside, this product is especially great to use indoors to help stay in shape. The total weight of all the components including accessories is around 25 pounds. Unlike the two ineffective damaged cement filled barbells that I ditched years ago, this set of barbells is built solid. To provide first rate performance, these durable bar bells are made with solid iron sand to ensure that they last a long time. I feel confident and safe using this product as a supplement to my weekly indoor exercise regimen.Since this is my first experience with REALbar bells, I began by pacing myself with "once a week" weight lifting sessions "one barbell at a time." I like that the lively "lime green color" of the product is a motivational feature that's helping to boost and UPLIFT me while using these barbells.I made a very smart decision getting these easy to lift dumbells to help (re)gain body mass. Undeniably this product is what I need in making progress to get rid of flab and regain muscle.

I got these because I want to be able to do some weights at home, since I homeschool and I don't always have reliable childcare. This set is nice: compact and easy to store, it fit easily at the bottom of a rolling cart I wasn't using very much anyway. There versatility is great too - I can go pretty heavy, especially for my arms since I'm still a beginner without much upper body strength. I can't get the weight I need for my lower body to grow, but for back and arms, it's great.The one problem - which is significant, from my point of view - is that the weights screw onto each part. So if you try a weight and you think "oops that's not quite right - too light! (or too heavy!)" you then have to stop, unscrew each thing, change it, screw it back. It's just tedious. It would be easier to if it was just slide on with spring grips, like you see in a ton of gyms. For me, since I am fitting workouts in during nap times or stolen moments after I've gotten every single one of my 370 children into bed (just a joke), this amount of time adds up - especially as I'm alternating between movements and different parts of my body are significantly stronger/weaker than others. I got the set FOR it's versatility - so the fact that the versatility is relatively cumbersome to use is a big con.I'm still happy with it because it's so much cheaper than other adjustable weight sets, it's nice looking, and compact. But we'll see if over time, I eventually have to sell it and upgrade just because of the time aspect.

love the weights! The coating makes them great for working out in the home. the screw on weigh locks take a little time to adjust you weight up or down, but not a big drawback!
