Picked this up as a travel-friendly rod for weekend trips and spontaneous fishing stops, and I’ve been really impressed with how well it performs for the price. The foldable design makes it super convenient to pack, and it feels surprisingly sturdy when extended.Casting is smooth, the reel works well for light to moderate use, and it’s great for beginners or casual anglers. That said, I’d definitely recommend swapping out the included line — it’s pretty basic and tends to tangle or fray under tension. After upgrading to a higher-quality line, the whole setup felt much more reliable.Pros:• Compact and easy to carry• Folds down small — perfect for travel or keeping in the car• Solid performance for casual fishing• Affordable and beginner-friendlyCons:• Included fishing line is low quality — replace it right away• Not built for heavy-duty use or big catchesIf you’re looking for a budget-friendly, portable rod for casual fishing, this is a solid choice. With just a quick line upgrade, it’s more than capable of handling lakes, rivers, or dock fishing on the go.
Perfect
This combo is perfect for beginners and great for travel. Everything comes in its case, ready to go. The rods are lightweight yet strong, and the set includes everything needed to start fishing.
Used them once. Took a minute to get them set up but on our first trip out we caught a number of good sized rainbow trout and cutthroat. Poles held up just fine. Long term use is yet to be determined.
Not so strong, the small part broke on the first day
I recently bought this kit and really like it! It’s incredibly comprehensive, having everything I need to get started without the hassle of buying extra gear, everything is in a portable carrier bag.The fishing rods are lightweight and easy to handle, making them perfect for long days of fishing without any strain. The reels are smooth, the line holds up well, and the bait looks realistic. What I love most about this kit is how convenient it is. The telescopic rods are easy to pack and carry, and the bag makes transportation so much simpler. Can’t wait to use it!
$55 for 2 sets of rod and reel is pretty good deal. The carbon rods are light with the guide winding being wrap and cure in carbon fiber versus a metal ring pushed into place make the rod feel smoother and more professional. Comparing to similar price range sets, the reels of this set is heavier (more metal part) and feel like the will last longer. The accessories weight and bait of the set is very limited and is not the reason why I chose this set. This is not a high end set but I think it would satisfy my beginning needs for now.
I mean they come in a case! you can put them in your car and use them whenever you want! or you could put them in your emergency backpack! The outer case looks sleek and nice. I haven't had a chance to fish with these but I am looking forward to is since these are nicer than my old pole. My kids will love them too!
