08-03-2026I use dragging weights frequently for catfishing......typically a shrink sleeve tube filled with lead shot. These dragging weights have a unique design with a compact lead weight attached to the bottom of a plastic tube. The hollow plastic tube provides a bit of upright buoyancy, which should help the rig track somewhat smoother along the bottom. Overall quality seems very good and I'm looking forward to fishing them.

08-03-2026So, I fish on a lake that's particularly snaggy. Lots of rocks and boulders and when I am trolling with normal dragging weights I often get snagged up multiple times on a trip. I came across these on Amazon when I was buying more dragging weights and decided to give them a try. I'm sure glad I did. Not once did I have to break off because of a snag. An entire 8 hour fishing trip trolling through boulder fields over a fallen tree and even a submerged bridge. Not once was I snagged. I know there's not a lot of reviews on this but if you're shopping for some dragging weights and you happen to see this review, I'm telling you to give these a try. I was going to say I'm going to buy more but I don't have to because I'm not losing them.
