08-03-2026This item was great. Each carabiner came individually wrapped in a cloth wrapping. They were easy to use and it's lock feature guarantees a secure closing. I used them on my latest camping trip and they worked great. Now that I'm hike they'll be used for my keys now that I see how light it is.Pros:Light weightEasy to useAds a secure lock for added safety and safetyMutiple colorsCons:None yet

08-03-2026I use them for equine activities including hanging hay bags. It us really nice that they lock closed that way the halters don’t get caught in them.Only negative is the blue is so light looks like silver with a small tint of blue. But this us just cosmetic and still works great.

08-03-2026Okay, when it comes to your life hanging in the balance do you really want to fool around with the tool that's going to keep you from death? Yeah, no. I do a fair amount of hunting from tree stands and these are the clips that attach my body harness to the tree strap. They're very easy to use and the spring clip has a screw cap closure so after you've clipped in just screw the cap upwards and it will guarantee that the clip won't accidently open if you take a tumble. I like the looks of these carabiners as well. The red goes nicely with the black (and it's all about style points). Don't skimp on the link that will keep you hanging (because falling would totally suck).

All FresKaro carabiners are designed to last at least ten years; with good maintenance and TLC, you can expect a great deal of life from our devices. We only use 7075 AL on our devices which are machine stamped and not molded.
So how do I maintain a carabiner, it's just a clip right?
Depending on your usage of the carabiner, use a dry waxed-based lubricant to clean the hinge area, where the spring is located. Always wash your carabiner after contact with salt water or salt air. Remove any tiny particles of grit or dirt.
How often to carabiners fail?
On every production cycle, we check to destruction several units to ensure our kN value on every batch. UIAA kN achieved >27, and we mark at 25kN. This gives a healthy 10% margin of error either way. UIAA states a minimum 20kN.
How can I ensure the safety of my climbing carabiners while using them?
To ensure safety, regularly inspect for damage, check gate closure, and follow diagram guidelines given with the supplied booklet for proper use. Seek qualified and professional advice before using in dangerous conditions.
