The perfect router for every small and some large projects..
Works the way it should. Super light and easy to operate
Excellent product for the price, It got all the features of brand name routers. Brushless motor with overload and low battery voltage protection. It has got features like speed control, slow start with stopping brakes, height of blade easy to adjust and includes a snap handle to lock height.it also has a aluminum body and base.it came with a few hits and guide fence.Unfortunately doesn’t have a shaft lock to aid in changing bits, overall a good buy!
So far this has been an excellent purchase. I use it for carving hinge slots in doors, and it works really well. I don’t see why I would pay 3x more for the Makita unit for the amount that I use this one. The bits and accessories it comes with seem pretty good too, thought I have not tried them.
This is my first battery brushless compact router i have bought. I love it and can't wait to use it. Quality and accessories looks solid and sturdy for the price. Would see how it stand up to the job few months ahead..
This is a nice, light weight machine. That's the good part. However, that's about it. 1. The base is very small so it's hard to keep level without attaching the rolling guide. This will require some trial and error to get set up correctly. 2. The body with the gear adjustment was not correctly adjusted for tightness on the motor. In the first picture, was a test cut with the 1/2" round over bit set to the base with the top of the curve. There was so much movement of the motor that the resulting cut had the full vertical cut also which I did not want. I was able to tighten the screw (small wrench or needle nose pilers) and get it to lock down sufficiently. The adjustment gear is an aggressive ratio and hard to get precise. 3. There is no information in the inst. manual that gives the motor speed in relation to the number on the dial. So good luck trying to match the router speed to the required bit speed. This is not an out of the box to workbench tool. The one I got took a lot of messing to get it to remotely cut accurately, and I still need to re-do the round over as the depth wasn't correct, I think due to the adjustment of the side guide. If I were doing this over, I'd just buy the Dewalt and be done.I am returning this product.
The quality and build of this router amazed me! I already own a Porter Cable corded trim router, so I was feeling just a little guilty for buying this one- but oh-my-gosh! This is now the only router I want. I’m using my smallest 20v, 2AH battery and this router stayed with me through the whole project. I routed 3/4”x1/4” deep dadoes in 3/4” birch plywood for a shelving project. I really like the relatively quiet operation, good power delivery, and rotation brake at shut down. My one nit-pic is the depth adjustment gear and knob does not do well with fine adjustments, but that being said, I really did not struggle to get the depth dialed in. At this price point ($58 on Black Friday), I strongly recommend this excellent little trim router!
The router works great, but I am a bit disappointed about it only working with a higher amp battery, when it shows it using a 5ah and I'm having to use my 9ah one to make it run. Waiting still on response from supplier.
Used good Dewalt batteries [tested on other devices] and the Router kept cutting off after about 10 seconds of use. Changed the battery and it did the same thing.
Outstanding router for jobs small to medium.
The router is working perfectly fine. very smooth cutting, light weight,
Excellent hand router. I had assumed it was a dewalt brand. It wasn’t, but router works really well it came with 4 bits.
The quality exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended. Light enough to use with one hand.
