08-03-2026Its a solid router. It does its job, and it does it well. A good solution for small to mid-sized homes, and the app included is pretty simple. Certainly a solid mid-tier choice for anyone sick of shoddy ISP-provided routers.

08-03-2026Was sent an email from Nighthawk that our old generation router would no longer have firmware updates which would make us at risk for malware and other security risks. I thought this was awesome of them as a company to reach out.Extremely easy set up and the app is so simple to use. Changing your passwords and wifi names made simple. Easy access to monitor any security risks. We have 3 tv’s, 2 phones and numerous other devices connected with no speed issues. Excellent upload and download speeds as well. Highly recommend for a simple easy set up at a great price.

08-03-2026Absolutely simple to hook up, and all my devices are shown on it, which is great . It even gives me real time info regarding anything of malware an automatically blocks it. I used Netgear many years ago and never had any issues and it’s great to see a product that still continues to deliver. The nighthawk is even better than the ones I’ve used in the past. The speed is great and everything in my home runs perfectly. The signal strength is very strong in my 1800 square-foot house.

08-03-2026Buy a different one and save yourself the trouble - although a router does a singular job, this thing is horrible about connecting. It takes 3 sets of passwords - security questions and download an app. - took well over an hour.

08-03-2026Bought this to replace mine from 2010 that was making my streaming services lag. This is perfect for 3 TVs in the house and 2 Xbox’s. Had it for about 1 year and never had to restart or reconnect

08-03-2026We’ve always had a good experience with Netgear so upgraded to this midrange model when former unit was no longer supported. Plenty of power and range for our several devices (caveat - we’re not gamers). If you’re not tech savvy, strongly recommend watching a few videos before attempting to install- the instructions with the unit are minimal, basically consisting of “use the Nighthawk App”. And they’re not kidding - the App is critical to a successful installation. All goes very smoothly when you simply follow the steps on the App.
