The waterproof material sounds like these jackets typically do, plastic whooshing. My son was comfortable in it with layers but without interior lining it’s not something I would let him wear without a warmer shirt underneath.

08-03-2026Bought this for my son for the winter and he loves it. The red is nice and bright so its easy to spot him from far away, and helps that he also like the red color. As a bonus, the inside has a nice lining that soft and smooth so its easy to layer this jacket with a sweater underneath. Final bonus is that there is not huge tag on the neck so it doesn't bother my son. Fleece liner inside the pockets would have been a nice bonus but you wouldn't expect to get at this price.

08-03-2026For the price of this coat is really is up on quality. The fit is pretty dead on to others on the market and thickness makes it light and easy to wear on cold days. The zippers are smooth and the pockets are well lined and stitched for the roughest of kids with coats. The style, color and fit make this an everyday coat in the Fall and Winter days. Bundling up under isn't really an issue as the arms are pretty loose. It does have cuffs around the wrists so cold air and snow wont get up the arms while playing in the snow. Overall for the quality stitching, smooth zippers and great look this coat is great for those chilly days.
