08-03-2026I only used the bad and just attached other types of filters to it. It worked just as intended. What is nice is that is has the same thread as the typical water bottles and other types of similarly built filters. I tested this on two trips so far, total of 11 days.

08-03-2026First few days seemed great. Filtered pretty quickly. But in the first week of a two-week canoe trip, the bag’s seam ripped (and duct tape wouldn’t hold water in). The only thing that saved us was that we had a backup option. Very disappointing

08-03-2026Absolutely worth every penny and more! Used this filtration system on a 6 day back country elk hunt. It filters quickly, and simply put - it works! It’s a good size and has a great capacity for one or two hunters to get water for the day. No leaks or issues whatsoever. This was easily one of the best purchases made for our hunting trip.

08-03-2026Took this on a 3 day backpacking trip and was super impressed with the filter. It was easy to pack, use, and worked much quicker than expected! The water tasted great and was crystal clear even from a dirty creek. Size is big enough to fill a whole pot of water and 2 large water bottles off of one bag. Im not one to leave reviews but i loved this thing.

08-03-2026Easy to fill. Filters fast. Small leaks at fill handles if lying down and leaks at straw joints and bottom fitting of clean water bag. Works well for filtering water and getting into another leak proof container.

08-03-2026Surprisingly well put together kit. Its a little bulky for day hikes but instantly became part of my new essentials kit. You can always just take the dirty water bag, hose and filter and drip straight into your clean water container (Nalgene, canteen, whatever you use) making the packed size even smaller. Solid 5 stars from me.

08-03-2026This is a great filtration system. It filters a large volume fairly quickly. The 'spigot' to fill other containers with was awesome. Saved a lot of time. Ithers hikers commented what a great set up it was. Highly recommend.

08-03-2026The first thing you should know about this product is if Southern Prepper1 puts his name on it he has tested it and it works.A good thing is the filter is the same as what he offers in different quantities. This is something that can be used long term.The directions are easy to follow. With both a simple picture of it put together and a breakdown of each item. Well made.If you BUGOUT with your family or group you will not be carrying your Berkey. This is light weight and has a mesh bag to keep everything together.Remember the rules of 3. Three days without water. Must have item.
