It fits well (if you put it in correctly). I wear my regular bra with a sports bra over it. I put this item between my regular bra and the sports bra. I feel like it works. Because it's between two layers of cloth, one of them rather tight fitting, it doesn't slip, and it doesn't stick to my skin. I do karate, and while most of the time, people avoid hitting the breasts, sometimes something slips, and now my breasts are protected. I haven't had issues before, but some of my friends have had mammograms and ultrasounds and biopsies because they had bruising from karate, so I want to avoid the extra tests. I'll probably buy something similar for my daughters when they get a little older. I don't usually spar against men, so I don't know if this would actually be useful if you're getting hit in the chest hard.It seems good quality. It's not flimsy plastic. It's light enough that you don't notice it's there.
I am in my 30s and have been practicing Muay Thai for a few years. I enjoy sparring, and while no one ever intentionally hits you in the boob, the contact happens often enough that after getting a fibroadenoma in my boob (biopsied to get a definitive diagnosis), I was feeling scared and hesitant to throw jabs since the movement would expose the sensitive area where my fibroadenoma is. I was debating whether I should even keep sparring! I kept wishing they made a groin-like cup like guys use but for girls’ boobs, and I eventually asked ChatGPT to help me find something. I was led to these and I am so grateful! This is exactly what I was looking for and exactly what I need while sparring to protect my boobs from hits. They are hard and sturdy—a punch or kick to the boob does not bend these. I wish these had been recommended before I ever started sparring, just like cups for guys are. So helpful, so important to protect the tatas—I hope this helps spread the word.I have tried inside my sports bra on skin, but they slid around quite a bit within my sports bra after so much sweat and movement. I now shove them inside my sports bras’ built-in insert areas (where they usually come with those little pads, which I always take out anyway), and they stay in place about 80-90%. They do tend to slide towards each other and a little upwards within the sports bras even when in these insert areas, but it’s not too bad and it still protects 100%. I just have to adjust a little between sparring rounds. I am currently looking for ideas on how I can utilize the cut out lines on these pads to maybe tie them in place or clasp or button something through maybe, so that they stay exactly where I put them. Surely that’s what the cut out lines are for, right?? I’ll find a way.Bottom line, I highly recommend these. Try them, tell your friends. They are worth the price. More people should know about these.
I get looks from my roller derby teammates but I don't care. They do exactly what I needed them to and make me feel less afraid to take (and give!) hits with implants.
My daughter recently started playing Lacrosse and I was concerned with her being protected from contact especially as the players are quite new to the game and learning. As an athlete myself playing contact sports in my youth, I am familiar with impacts to the chest but there was nothing available back then! My daughter says they fit well, easy to insert her sports bra anywhere really, on the sidelines or in the car before taking the field, probably the best thing is they’re totally hidden which seems to be very important! Think these will definitely do the job they’re meant to do and give her confidence as she learns the game.
I got these for my daughter who is a high school lacrosse player. She does get hit in the chest quite a bit. She said they fit perfectly inside her sports bra and she didn’t feel them at all while playing. These are not sports bras but inserts girls put inside their sports bras though they also do provide additional support from bounce and movement. She is a 36B so I got her a medium. They do recommend a snug fit so surprisingly this was the right size. Definitely check the sizing chart before getting. All women and girls should be wearing these to play sports!!
I practice a Japanese martial arts that uses bamboo swords. I'm a little on the fuller woman curvy side of things and I've been looking for some side protection for the girls (I have front protecting armor). These are perfect. I can't feel them when I'm wearing them, they allow for full range of motion. Worth the buy.
